Our weekly science classes are designed for curious kids who love asking questions, experimenting, and figuring out how the world works 🌍🧪

Flashpoint is teaming up with The Little Gym for a special play + science experience.

Kids will first tumble, climb and burn off energy during Open Play at The Little Gym, then step into a hands-on DNA Extraction workshop with us.

We’ll be extracting real DNA from fruits and uncovering the hidden building blocks inside living things. Expect gloves on, experiments out, and plenty of “WOAH” moments.

When lightning strikes, electricity tears through the air in a fraction of a second, heating it to around 30,000°C, about five times hotter than the Sun’s surface. This extreme heat makes the air expand explosively, creating a powerful shockwave we hear as thunder. Even though lightning is incredibly hot, it doesn’t last long, which is why it doesn’t burn everything around it like the Sun does.

Hands-on science workshops are back this January at Flashpoint! Each Saturday afternoon features a focused, immersive experience where kids experiment, build, and think like real scientists. Explore the chemistry behind soap-making to create your own custom soaps and join a detective-style science mission where kids investigate polluted water and design their own filtration system!
