Thinking about studying Interior Design in Malaysia. Here is something that might actually help you decide.

We get a lot of messages from students who want to build a career in design but are not sure where to start or how much it really costs. So we pulled the real numbers from three popular universities.

UCSI University, 3 years, total cost around RM106,000.
INTI International University, 3.5 years, total cost around RM117,000.
City University Malaysia, 3 years, total cost around RM58,000, the most affordable option here.

Taylors, Wollongong and SEGi are also solid choices if your budget allows a bit more, they usually fall between RM73,000 and RM132,000.

To get admission you will need your SSC, HSC or Diploma with at least 2.60 CGPA, an English score like IELTS or PTE, and a small portfolio showing your creative side. If you do not have one yet, a foundation year usually gives enough time to build it.

After graduation there is real demand for interior designers, 3D visualisers, furniture designers and exhibition designers here in Malaysia.
