Data 101 လို့ အမည်ပေးထားတဲ့ Course တစ်ခုကို လာမယ့် ဇူလိုင် ၁၀ ရက်နေ့က စပြီးတော့ INDRA Innovation & Communication မှာ လုပ်သွားပါမယ်။ ဒီ Course မှာ ဘာတွေ ပါမလဲ ဆိုရင် ကိန်းဂဏန်း အချက်အလက်တွေနဲ့ အလုပ် လုပ်ကိုင်နည်းတွေနဲ့ အခြေခံ သုတေသန လုပ်ငန်းတွေ အကြောင်း ပါဝင်မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
မဖြစ်မနေ သိထားရမယ့် သဘောတရား Concept တွေကို တီးမိခေါက်မိအောင် လေ့လာပြီးရင် Tools တွေကို အဓိကထားပြီး သင်ပါမယ်။ ဥပမာ Microsoft Excel, Google Spreadsheet အစရှိတဲ့ Spreadsheet တွေကို ကျင်ကျင်လည်လည် သုံးတတ်အောင်၊ ပြဿနာ တော်တော်များများကို ဒီ Spreadsheets တွေမှာပါတဲ့ Built-in Function တွေ၊ Add-on/Plugin တွေနဲ့ ဖြေရှင်းတတ်အောင်၊ အဖြေထွက်အောင် လုပ်နိုင်တဲ့ အဆင့်အထိ လေ့ကျင့်ပါမယ်။
တစ်ချိန်တည်းမှာပဲ Survey လုပ်ငန်းတွေမှာ သုံးကြတဲ့ Kobo, Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, Survey Monkey အစရှိတဲ့ From Applications တွေကို သုံးတတ်အောင်၊ Form Elements တွေကို စနစ်တကျ သုံးတတ်အောင် ပြောပြပါမယ်။ လက်တွေ့ဘ၀မှာ Survey ကောက်ယူတဲ့ အခါ Geo-location Data တွေကို ဘယ်လို ကောက်ယူမလဲ၊ ဘယ်လို ပြန်ပြီး အသုံးချမလဲ ဆိုတာကိုလည်း GIS Applications တွေနဲ့ တွဲပြီး လေ့ကျင့်ခန်း လုပ်တာတွေ ရှိပါမယ်။
အဓိက ဦးစားပေး အနေနဲ့ Regular Expression (RegEx) ကို သုံးပြီးတော့ Raw Data (Textual Data) တွေ အထဲကနေ ကိုယ် လိုချင်တဲ့ အချက်အလက်တွေ ဆွဲထုတ်တာ၊ ပြုစုတာ၊ ပြင်ဆင်တာ၊ ပြောင်းလဲတာ အစရှိတဲ့ Data Wrangling ကိစ္စတွေကို သင်ပါမယ်။ အကြမ်းထည် အနေနဲ့ ရှိနေတဲ့ Text Data (String) တွေကို Transformation လုပ်တဲ့ အပိုင်းကို အဓိက ပြောပါမယ်။
အဲဒါတွေ ပြီးရင်တော့ STATA Application ကို အခြေခံ သုံးတတ်အောင်၊ Manipulation လုပ်တတ်အောင်၊ အခြေခံ ပေါင်း၊ နှုတ်၊ မြောက်၊ စား၊ ပျမ်းမျှ၊ ရေတွက် အစရှိသဖြင့် တွက်တတ်အောင် သင်ပါမယ်။ STATA ကတော့ သင်တန်းပြီးရင် ကိုယ့်ဖာသာ ဆက်ပြီး လေ့လာရမယ့် Tools ပါ။ STATA ကို သုံးတတ်သွားရင် အခု Popular ဖြစ်နေတဲ့ Pandas ကို ပြောင်းပြီး လေ့လာဖို့က မခက်ခဲပါဘူး။
STATA က Command Line Interface ဖြစ်ပေမယ့် Syntax တွေက အင်မတန် လွယ်ကူ ရိုးရှင်းပြီး သုံးရတာ ကောင်းတဲ့ အတွက်ကြောင့် အခြေခံ အဆင့်ကို STATA နဲ့ သွားတဲ့ သဘောပါ။ STATA သိသွားရင် နောက်ပိုင်း Python နဲ့ အချက်အလက်ကိစ္စတွေကို ဆက်လုပ်မယ် ဆိုရင်လည်း လွယ်သွားမှာပါ။

# Learning Goal
By the end of the program, participants will have a solid understanding of the basic concepts and terminologies of data science and applied research. They will be able to perform fundamental tasks related to data lifecycle management, including data collection, data cleaning, data validation, data verification, data manipulation, data visualization, and data analysis.
Participants will gain hands-on experience using standard tools such as Microsoft Excel/Google Spreadsheet, Microsoft Power BI/Tableau, Google Earth, and form building applications (e.g., Kobo, Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, Survey Monkey). Additionally, participants will develop proficiency in using powerful text editors (e.g., Notepad++, Visual Studio Code) for data transformation, basic regular expression methods (RegEx) to extract useful information from raw data, and acquire introductory STATA skills.
The training will consist of interactive activities designed to reinforce these skills and concepts.

# Application Process
Participants will be selected through a competitive process to ensure the utmost dedication and commitment from the chosen individuals. The process consists of the following stages:
# # (1) Application Submission
Interested individuals are required to submit their applications through the online application form at https://indramyanmar.com/indra-data-101/.
# # (2) Application Review
The organizing team will carefully review all received applications. The review process aims to assess the applicants' background, enthusiasm, and their potential to benefit from the training program.
# # (3) Shortlisting
Based on the application review, a shortlist of candidates will be created. The shortlisted applicants will be invited to proceed to the next stage, which is the placement test.
# # (4) Placement Test
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a placement test to evaluate their basic knowledge. The test may cover topics such as problem-solving and basic computer operating skills.
# # (5) Final Selection
The final selection of participants will be based on the performance in the placement test and the overall assessment of the application. Only 10 individuals will be selected for the program.
# Criteria for Shortlisting Participants
The selection committee will consider several criteria when shortlisting participants. While meeting all the criteria does not guarantee selection, it enhances the chances of being shortlisted. The criteria include:

Preference will be given to individuals with a background in research, statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields. However, applicants from other disciplines with a strong interest in data science are also encouraged to apply.
# # (2) Motivation and Enthusiasm
The committee will assess the applicants' motivation and enthusiasm for learning data management and applied research. Applicants are encouraged to highlight their passion for the field and how they plan to utilize the acquired skills.
# # (3) Potential Benefit
The committee will consider the potential benefit the training program can provide to the applicants in their personal and professional development.
Please note that these criteria are provided as a general guideline, and the selection committee will have the final discretion in the shortlisting and selection process.
# Participant Requirements
• Participants are required to bring their own laptop computers with the Windows operating system (OS).
• Selected participants are required to attend all courses. Participants will be dismissed if they fail to attend more than two consecutive sessions.
• We strictly adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and abuse at the learning space.
