CEO of Al-Madinah International University Participates in the Launch of the Global Council for Scientific Miracles in the Quran and Sunnah
As part of strengthening cooperation with the Malaysian community, Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich, CEO of Al-Madinah International University, participated in the launch event of the Global Council for Scientific Miracles in the Quran and Sunnah, which was held in the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, under the patronage of His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, and in the presence of the Malaysian Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dato’ Dzulkifli. The university delegation also included Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Din and Dr. Sami Samir Abdelfattah Abdelkawi.
The event also witnessed the closing ceremony of the “Science and Faith” program and competition under the Iman and Science program organized by the Muslim World League in collaboration with Malaysian governmental and private institutions. Male and female students from Al-Madinah International University, together with a large number of their peers from various Malaysian universities, participated in this international competition, which aims to strengthen the integration between modern sciences and faith-based values and to develop scientific research skills. The closing ceremony included the crowning of the winners and the distribution of prizes, which included several free Umrah trips.
On the sidelines of the event, Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich met with His Excellency Dr. Al-Issa and also held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Malaysia to discuss ways of enhancing academic and scientific cooperation. In addition, he met with the Head of the Muslim World League Office in Malaysia, Dr. Mohammed Al-Gharawi, to discuss the development of future partnerships and support for joint scientific programs.
This participation reaffirms Al-Madinah International University’s commitment to strengthening its international and local presence and to actively engaging in scientific initiatives that contribute to the service of knowledge and the reinforcement of Islamic values.

Al-Madinah International University Organizes Open Day

Under the patronage of YBhg. Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Madinah International University, the university organized an Open Day on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, aimed at showcasing the university’s academic programs and services to prospective students as well as those who had recently enrolled.

The event commenced with a welcoming speech by the CEO of the university, who warmly received the attendees and reaffirmed the university’s continuous commitment to providing an outstanding academic environment that combines educational excellence with comprehensive student services, contributing to the academic and professional preparation of students to meet the demands of the job market.

The event was attended by several faculty deans as well as members of the academic and administrative staff, during which a comprehensive presentation was delivered on the academic programs offered at various levels, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs, in addition to information on admission and registration procedures, the academic system, scholarships, and tuition discounts available for students.

The Open Day also featured informational booths representing different faculties and departments, giving visitors and newly enrolled students the opportunity to learn more about the available specializations and to raise inquiries regarding study plans, tuition fees, electronic services, and academic support.

The event received strong engagement from attendees, who expressed their appreciation for this initiative, which contributed significantly to clarifying their future academic pathways.

During the course of the event, YBhg. Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich also received Datin Che Zaviah Binti Abdullah, Principal of SMK Desa Petaling, in his office. He expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude for her attendance at the Open Day and for encouraging students to participate as well.

In return, Datin Che Zaviah Binti Abdullah thanked Dr. Ammar and the university management for extending the invitation to the school to attend and participate, and congratulated them on the successful organization of the event, while wishing Al-Madinah International University continued progress and success.

Al-Madinah International University Celebrates Eid al-Fitr in a Vibrant Cultural Atmosphere

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) organized a distinguished celebration in conjunction with Eid al-Fitr at its campus, under the patronage of the Chief Executive Officer, Asst. Prof. Ts. Dr. Ammar Bathich, with the enthusiastic participation of students and staff who gathered in a joyful and harmonious atmosphere.

The event was held as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening social bonds among its community members and celebrating religious occasions that embody noble values such as tolerance, solidarity, and compassion. The celebration was marked by a rich cultural diversity, as attendees wore traditional attire representing their respective countries, creating a vibrant and colorful display of cultural identity and unity.

The program featured a variety of engaging activities that fostered interaction and enjoyment among participants. These included the exchange of gifts among staff as a gesture of appreciation and goodwill, as well as the serving of a wide selection of foods and traditional sweets reflecting diverse cultural backgrounds. This provided attendees with an opportunity to explore different customs and traditions associated with Eid al-Fitr celebrations.

A highlight of the event was the Best Traditional Attire competition, which received strong participation. The outfits were evaluated based on authenticity and uniqueness, and awards were presented to the winners of Best Male Attire and Best Female Attire amid an atmosphere of excitement and encouragement.

The celebration also incorporated spiritual elements, concluding with prayers for continued blessings, peace, and prosperity for all, and for the well-being of the Muslim community. The event ended with a group photo session, capturing memorable moments that reflect the spirit of unity and belonging within the university.

Al-Madinah International University Participates in the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) Conference
A number of academic staff from Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) participated in the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN) Conference, held on 7 April 2026, as part of the university’s commitment to strengthening its research presence and engaging in national initiatives that support collaboration between academia and industry.
Representing the university at the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Popoola Kareem Hamed, Shuhaidah Ahmad Ramly, and Syasya Athirah Binti Ahmad Azmee. Their participation aimed to explore the latest trends in applied research and to foster effective research partnerships.
The conference is part of the Public-Private Research Network (PPRN), an initiative under the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE), which seeks to connect universities with industry players to address real-world challenges faced by various sectors through applied research that delivers practical, short-term solutions.
This initiative also aims to enhance productivity and innovation within the industrial sector, while promoting knowledge transfer between academic institutions and the private sector, thereby contributing to better alignment between research outputs and market needs.

Al-Madinah International University Delegation Visits IIUM to Explore Its Expertise in Scientific Research

A delegation from Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) paid an official visit to the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) on Monday, 6 April 2026, as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its research capabilities and benefit from leading experiences in the field of scientific research.

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Popoola Kareem Hamed, Director of the Research Management Center (RMC) at MEDIU. They were received by a delegation from IIUM, represented by Prof. Ts. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Fadzil Bin Ismail, Director of the Research Management Center, along with a number of specialists and researchers in the field.

The primary objective of the visit was to gain insight into IIUM’s extensive experience in scientific research, as it is regarded as one of the well-established universities with a long-standing track record in this domain. The MEDIU delegation aimed to identify best practices in managing and developing research, particularly in relation to quality assurance systems and established evaluation mechanisms.

During the visit, IIUM’s research systems were presented, with particular emphasis on the Malaysian Research Assessment (MyRA) reports and their role in measuring research performance and enhancing research outputs. Both parties also discussed ways to leverage these practices to support MEDIU’s direction towards improving research quality and strengthening its competitiveness.

In addition, the MEDIU delegation delivered a brief presentation on its current research systems and potential areas for development. The meeting featured extensive discussions and constructive dialogue focusing on opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange, contributing to institutional development goals for both sides.

This visit reflects MEDIU’s commitment to learning from distinguished academic institutions, particularly IIUM, in support of its aspiration to build a robust research ecosystem aligned with international standards and best practices.

The visit concluded with a campus tour of IIUM, where the delegation explored its academic facilities and visited the university library, one of its key knowledge centers, followed by an exchange of commemorative gifts between both parties.

Al-Madinah International University Organises Qur’an Completion Ceremony in a Spiritually Enriching Atmosphere

Al-Madinah International University organised a Qur’an Completion (Khatam) ceremony as the culmination of its Qur’an study sessions held for staff at the university’s prayer hall throughout the blessed month of Ramadan. This initiative forms part of the university’s efforts to foster a spiritually enriching work environment.

The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the final chapters of the Holy Qur’an, led by Prof. Dr. Yusuf Mohammed Abduh Al-Awadi, who also announced the successful completion of the Qur’an by the university staff. Participants demonstrated strong commitment by gathering daily after Zuhr prayer at the university’s prayer hall to engage in Qur’an study in an atmosphere of devotion and cooperation.

In his address, Asst. Prof. TS. Dr. Ammar Bathich, Chief Executive Officer of Al-Madinah International University, honoured outstanding staff members from the participating groups in recognition of their dedication and efforts. The Best Staff Award for each department was also announced during the event.

The ceremony concluded with a communal iftar at the university cafeteria, fostering a warm and collegial atmosphere among staff, followed by the Maghrib prayer performed in congregation—reflecting a strong sense of unity and belonging within the university community.
