CHANGE Supporters Sharing Session
We hosted a gathering with our supporters in Kuala Lumpur.
We introduced the CHANGE team, heard reflections from our supporters, and welcomed a guest presentation by Picha (PichaEats), one of our Microgrant partners, sharing their work with displaced communities through training and catering.
We then enjoyed a relaxed lunch together β a great opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and appreciate each otherβs contributions.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
Our next open call for Supporters is expected around September 2026 β stay tuned!

We held an Online Supporters Sharing Session on 22 April to share this yearβs progress of the CHANGE Microgrant 2025/26 with our generous supporters.
The session was conducted in Japanese to connect with our supporters in both Japan and Malaysia, and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces online.
We were also joined by Picha, one of our seven Microgrant partners this year, who shared updates from their project and insights into the social issues they are addressing.
It was a meaningful opportunity to learn, reconnect, and reflect together with those who care about empowering women, children, and youth across Malaysia.
Thank you to everyone who joined us β we truly appreciate your continued support.
CHANGE Microgrant offers an annual supporter membership programme for those who wish to contribute and deepen their understanding of social issues in Malaysia. Supporters also have opportunities to connect with one another and engage through newsletters and both online and in-person sessions like this.
Our next open call for supporters is expected around September 2026 β stay tuned!

Last week, the CHANGE team visited two of our Microgrant Programme partners 2025/26 in Penang and Perak as part of our occasional learning site visits.
These visits help us better understand the projects we support, strengthen relationships with our partners, and exchange ideas on how to further develop their work.
π Visit #1 β Persatuan Pembela Wanita Pulau Pinang
We met with Ms. Sally Alexander and the team and learned more about their shelter and support services for women in vulnerable situations. The shelter is carefully managed to protect the safety and privacy of its residents.
π Visit #2 β Pertubuhan Pendengaran dan Pertuturan Malaysia (MARCHES)
At SJKC Nam Hua in Perak, Dr. Phoon Hooi San conducted a teacher training workshop on supporting primary school students who may experience difficulties with mathematics learning. Teachers participated in discussions and hands-on activities using practical teaching materials.
These site visits are an important part of how we stay connected to the work happening on the ground and continue learning alongside our partners.
We are grateful to our partners for their dedication to supporting communities across Malaysia. Stay tuned to get updates on the project's progress.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table at the ISP Pre-Loved Community Bazaar!
It was wonderful to meet so many members of the school community and share the work of CHANGE.
At our table, we showcased items created by our CHANGE Microgrant project partners, along with our special CHANGE logo goods. All proceeds will support the operational costs of the CHANGE Microgrant Programme.
We are also deeply grateful to our supporters and volunteers who generously helped run the table and made the day possible.
Community events like this remind us how small actions can come together to support meaningful social impact.
Thank you for your support!
