Different places, different experiences, but plenty to share. 💙

VTOC recently welcomed a visiting group from YWCA Hong Kong, comprising 24 young women and a couple of young men, for a day of connection, conversations and new experiences.

Our visitors had the opportunity to mingle with VTOC trainees and exchange stories and experiences, before exploring the YWCA Urban Farm and getting creative together during an arts & crafts session hosted by YWCA Malaysia.

What we loved most was simply seeing young people from different communities getting to know one another beyond introductions and formalities.

A simple visit, but a meaningful opportunity to connect, share and build friendships across borders 🌏

One afternoon, with so many unexpected lessons! 👀

Our trainees had the opportunity to experience the Precinct Merdeka 118 Health, Safety & Environment Day at Stadium Merdeka, just a short walk from VTOC Kuala Lumpur.

The event brought together health, safety and community awareness in a fun and interactive way, from free health screenings and cancer awareness to first aid demonstrations, VR activities and even a snake-catching demonstration by APM!

It was a refreshing change of pace and a meaningful opportunity for our trainees to explore important real-life topics in an engaging environment.

Sometimes, the most memorable lessons come from simply being present, observing and experiencing something new.
