On 13 May, 48 counsellors from across Malaysia came together for the Career InSights Career Fair (CICF) workshop, designed to equip them with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to organise impactful Career Fairs in their schools. Throughout the workshop, FINCO guided counsellors through the key steps in planning and executing a successful Career Fair.

A key highlight of the workshop was the Sembang Aspirasi session, where counsellors heard firsthand from leaders in the financial industry:
• Chua Kim Soon, CEO of Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia
• Dato’ Jamzidi Khalid, Managing Director of Wholesale Banking at AmBank
• Gary Hoo, CEO of AIA Malaysia
• Mohamad Yasin Abdullah, Group CEO of Maybank Islamic Berhad
• Jon Longmore, Country President of Chubb MY

Through their candid stories and practical advice, the panelists shared an important reminder:
Success is rarely a straight path. Setbacks are part of the journey, but perseverance, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning are what ultimately lead to growth. 🪴

With insights from both the workshop and industry leaders, our counsellors are now better prepared to bring engaging and meaningful Career Fairs to their students nationwide.
