IISS was honoured to pay a courtesy visit to the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Kota Kinabalu, where Dr. Jay (Juraj Zamecnik), Head of School, represented Imperium International Secondary School in a warm meeting with Consul General, Mr. Choi Bongkyu. The visit marks the opening of new educational collaboration opportunities between IISS and the Korean community, reflecting our shared commitment to building bridges through learning.

Dear Members of the Imperium Community,

With the 2026–27 School Year now just a few weeks away, I would like to take a moment to warmly welcome everyone to the year ahead.

Although we still have some time before our campus comes alive again, preparations are already well underway. Our team is working hard to ensure that we are ready for another year of learning, discovery, achievement, and growth.

To our returning students, the new year brings an opportunity to set new goals, take on new challenges, and build on everything you have achieved. To those joining Imperium for the first time, we are delighted to welcome you to our growing international school community.

At Imperium, we believe education is about more than academic success. We strive to develop confidence, character, curiosity, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

For now, enjoy these final weeks of the holidays, spend time with family and friends, and return refreshed and ready for the opportunities ahead.

As we wrap up the 2025/26 academic year, we’re taking a moment to look back at some of the highlights from June to August.

It has been a busy and rewarding few months, with opportunities to welcome our valued partners, connect with fellow educators, build new collaborations and celebrate memorable moments with our students. Every visit, meeting and partnership reflects our commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences and creating more opportunities for our school community.
