Happy Mother’s Day

A proud milestone for Imperium International Secondary School (IISS) as we officially celebrated the Charter Installation Ceremony of the IISS Interact Club and the installation of its Pioneer Board of Directors for the 2025–2026 term.

Held in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu Pearl (RCKK Pearl), led by Datin Dr Jeanette Tambakau, President of RCKK Pearl, alongside fellow Rotary leaders, the ceremony marked the beginning of a meaningful journey in leadership, service, and global citizenship.

Congratulations to our Pioneer Board of Directors and Interactors as they begin their journey of “Service Above Self.”

Our students took part in an exciting, hands-on archery session filled with focus, learning, and fun. Guided by an expert trainer, they explored proper techniques, form, and tactics, steadily building confidence, precision, and control with every attempt.

The session went beyond the bow and arrow. It fostered teamwork, cooperation, discipline, and patience throughout. Students supported and encouraged one another, stayed fully engaged, and embraced the challenge in a high-energy environment, filled with laughter and excitement.

Beyond academics, we cultivate purpose.

This May, Imperium International Secondary School invites you to its CSR Open Day & Fundraising Experience at Riverson where education comes to life through compassion and meaningful action.

A curated showcase of pre-loved pieces and student-led initiatives in support of the Sabah Society for the Deaf, empowering the community through a lasting legacy of purpose.

Hands-on, minds-on, and smiles all around!

Our Year 7 students had an exciting outdoor session exploring a model volcano eruption with their teachers and peers. From magma accumulation to peak eruption, they experienced the entire process up close.

It wasn’t just about watching, but everyone was involved too. Experimenting, learning, and having fun together, with plenty of laughter, teamwork, and hands-on discovery throughout the day!

A vibrant morning at Imperium International Secondary School during our Chess for All: Chess Clinic.

Participants were introduced to the basics of chess, from how each piece moves to simple tactical ideas, and then applied what they learned through guided play and puzzle challenges.

The session struck a great balance of focus and energy, with students fully engaged and visibly enjoying the process as they built confidence through each activity.

We’re grateful to have hosted the clinic and to see so many excited faces throughout the day. We look forward to building on this momentum and nurturing continued interest and growth in chess.

A beautiful afternoon at Imperium International Secondary School as we came together to celebrate Raya festivities.

With our Head of School, Mr Vassan joining the celebration, the day was filled with laughter, meaningful moments, and an incredible spread of festive favourites, from rendang to nasi minyak.

Traditional attire set the tone, with our teachers and staff looking effortlessly elegant in baju kurung and baju melayu.

Imperium International Secondary School is incredibly proud to announce that Christa Ang Year 10 has won a GOLD MEDAL in the Women U18 Compound Archery Category.

Held on 18 April 2026 at Padang Sasar Memanah Kota Kinabalu from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM, the competition brought together 29 schools organised by SK St Agnes and SM All Saints under IPD Kota Kinabalu

With this outstanding achievement Christa will now represent the Kota Kinabalu district at the upcoming MSSS State Level Majlis Sukan Sekolah sekolah Sabah.

Congratulations Christa We are rooting for you all the way!.

Curiosity comes alive through hands-on learning

Our students are exploring plant science through interactive experiments, observing closely, asking questions, and learning through first-hand experience.

At IISS, learning goes beyond the classroom, with strong emphasis on practical, interactive experiences that connect theory with real understanding.

When students are engaged, learning becomes meaningful, enjoyable, and memorable, inspiring the next generation of future scientists.

Our students from Imperium International Secondary School had an amazing opportunity to get a glimpse of army life at Lok Kawi Army Camp. They got hands-on experience with army attire, communication systems, food rations, fi****ms demonstrations, and heavy machinery including armoured vehicles.

The trip gave them insight into military operations, teamwork, discipline, safety, and leadership while satisfying their curiosity about army life and exploring potential career pathways.

A big thank you to the officers who shared their knowledge and guided the students. They returned home with smiles and unforgettable memories!
