Weβve all been there. You spend an hour picking fonts and colors, but the end result feels cluttered. Itβs "busy" but not in a good way.
The secret isnβt just about having "artistic talent." Itβs actually about a few simple rules that most non-designers don't know. I was revisiting these core principles today, and these 3 are usually the biggest "culprits":
1οΈβ£ White Space (The "Breathing" Room): Most people try to fill every corner with words. Don't! White space is what lets your audience focus on whatβs important.
2οΈβ£ Hierarchy (The "Boss"): If every word is big and bold, nothing stands out. You need one "Hero" element to grab attention first.
3οΈβ£ Alignment (The "Barisan" Rule): The fastest way to look pro is to keep things in line. When elements are just floating around randomly, it looks unplanned.
Design is 10% tool and 90% logic. Once you learn the "why," the "how" becomes easy.

Latest Canva Update: Image to Video!
Throwback to a meaningful 2 days with the team from Affinity Offshore Sdn Bhd.
Different branches, different backgrounds, not many chances to really know each other.
But by the end of the program⦠everyone laughed together, worked together and supported each other like one team.
That is the beauty of team building.
One of the WOW moments:
Each person held a card and shared a short βstoryβ from their own view.
Later, when we put the cards together, they realised the stories were actually connected.
It sent a strong message.
Good communication makes everything work.
When your story aligns with the team, magic happens.
For me, this session reminded me again why team building is not just for fun.
It builds trust.
It strengthens teamwork.
It helps colleagues understand each other beyond job titles and departments.
NOTE: If you want a team that performs, you need a team that connects.
Team building creates that space.
