Leo Club of SM Kian Kok

[Kian Kok student among trio who took part in hair donation campaign]
The “Locks of Love Project” was held at Kian Kok Middle School last Monday and witnessed by guest of honour District Governor Kapitan Ronny Hiew and members of Lions Club KK Downtown and other chapters. Our Junior One student who is also the member of Leo Club of Kian Kok, Faith Charmaine Kennedy made history as one of the inaugural contributors who donated her hair to be transformed into wigs for cancer-stricken patients who are going through chemotherapy. Through this meaningful event, we hope to inspire more people to come together as whole community to show their acts of support to families and children who are affected by cancer.

This week we have another fun experience cooking our own recipe popiah in the school canteen kitchen. It is also a great honour to meet DC Alyssa who came to visit our Leo and we are truly happy to welcome new members to join our Leo family.

"One Hour Barista" - Although it was a short trip for Tshung Tsin Leos to come over yesterday, everyone was still having so much fun! Not only the Leos get the chance to design their own drinks, they get to spend some quality time together with the Lion members too. Also, a great appreciation to Kian Kok Culinary Class for giving us this rare opportunity to experience the process of making Coffee Latte and Fruit Mocktail. We hope to seek more new experiences in the future.

A "fruitful" Sunday for our Leos as we took part in the orientation and leadership training hosted by Institute Sinaran. Thanks to the two powerful young leaders, Lion Audrey and Lion Wilson who inspired us with their speech. We will continue to grow and serve our community.

Our new Leo vests have finally arrived! Everyone is so excited to try it out. Million thanks to Vintage KK for sponsoring all of our vests.

Today we had a fun outing at Tanjung Aru Beach. Besides meeting new friends from other Leo Clubs, we do a little contribution to our mother nature by cleaning up some parts of the beach! Thanks to the LEO president of Institute Sinaran, Tshung Tsin Secondary School and SM All Saints for inviting us to join this meaningful program. Also, not forgetting all the Leo Advisors from KK Vintage (especially Lion Cindy, Harry and Joel) who always there to support us!

A brand new start for Kian Kok Leos after the Covid pandemic! Many thanks to Lion Club of K.K. Vintage (especially Joel, Cindy and Harry) who dropped by to share their valuable experience and boost the confidence of our young Leos. Also, not forgetting the constant support given by the school board member who never gave up on us. Together we soar up higher!
