Conversation with a 4 year old boy who drew a picture of a lion dance in this afternoon class...

Boy : Teacher, I am drawing here a 'tung-tung-chiang'.
Teacher : You mean a lion dance, Xiang-Xiang.
Boy : No...this is a 'tung-tung-chiang'. No lion lion.
Teacher : I get you, dear. 'Tung-tung-chiang' is the sound made by the drums in a lion dance. So, you are actually drawing a lion dance.
Boy : ...(Looking and sounding annoyed)...Nooo...This is 'tung-tung-chiaaaang'. This is not a lion dance. This is 'tung-tung-chiaaaang' bah.
Teacher : Okay, okay..It's 'tung-tung-chiang'. It's 'tung-tung-chiang'.

AMAZED. That's the word to describe how I felt this afternoon with the girls. Two girls arrived early for class and while waiting for their friend, they helped themselves to some pieces of papers I kept in a box. In matter of seconds, both sat in a corner and got busy. What was the result?

TA-DAAAAA~ A Row of Houses!

A child's mind is full of wonders, indeed.
