18 April 2026 β Karate Coach & Introduction to Referee Seminar
We are pleased to share that our Karate Coach & Introduction to Referee Seminar was successfully conducted with 14 participants, bringing together both coaches and athletes for a meaningful and enriching learning experience.
The session began with an energising warm-up led by Senpai Calveena, setting the tone for a well structured and engaging programme, which included:

How Athletes Should Listen and Respond to Coaching

Introduction to Referee Roles

Insightful sharing session by Sensei Rean & Master Jeffrey
The seminar concluded with a cool down session led by Sensei Ivar, marking the end of a truly impactful learning journey.
Beyond the technical sessions, we were blessed with a warm fellowship through a potluck gathering, generously prepared by our athletes and parents strengthening our bond as one karate family. π€π₯

In Loving Memory of Sensei Simon Raphael Chia π₯π€
It is with deep sadness that we extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Sensei Simon Raphael Chia.
Sensei Simon was a respected figure in the Karate community known for his humility, dedication, and unwavering spirit in sharing the true essence of Shotokan Karate. His teachings went beyond techniques, he instilled discipline, respect, and strong character in those he guided.
He was also a visionary, with a sincere passion to grow and share Karate knowledge not only within his own dojo, but across the wider Shotokan community. His desire to unite and uplift Karatekas will always be remembered.
On behalf of TSSKC, we are truly grateful for his contributions and the inspiration he has given to many.
To his beloved family, we extend our deepest sympathy. May you find strength and comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through every student and every life he has touched.
May his soul rest in the peace of God.
