*An Important Update*
We would like to inform that the Kota Kinabalu Music Society has decided not to hold our annual Music and Dance Festival in 2026 in Kota Kinabalu due to our poshy host venue undergoing a major face-lift so they can serve us better in time to come.
However, we are looking into organising a similar event in August 2026 with a good purpose and we are in the midst of coordinating the details and we will make the announcement end of January 2026, hence, stay tuned with us.
Meanwhile, we would like to wish you all a very blessed Christmas and Happy New Year🎄❤️

🎵 Throwback to Our 1st KK Music Pedagogy Conference — 1st & 2nd September 2025 🎵
What an amazing and inspiring weekend it was! Our 1st KK Music Pedagogy Conference gathered passionate educators, musicians, and performers under one roof — to learn, share, and grow together. 🌟
Throughout the two-day conference, we explored creative and effective teaching approaches that bring new life to music learning. From mastering coordination and balance in four-hands piano playing 🎹, to enhancing ensemble awareness and tone control, every session offered something valuable for both teachers and students.
We also dived into technical studies such as Etude practice and Dalcroze-inspired teaching methods, guided by professional pianists 🎶 who demonstrated with artistry, precision, and passion. The duet performances were a true highlight — showcasing teamwork, musical communication, and beautiful harmony between players. 💫
Beyond the learning sessions, participants had a great time engaging in fun group games, team-building activities, and creative class ideas 🤝 that strengthened our bonds as a music community. During the breaks, everyone enjoyed lively conversations, laughter, and exchange of teaching experiences over coffee ☕🎼.
It was truly a meaningful and heartwarming experience — full of knowledge, friendship, and inspiration. A big thank you to all the speakers, participants, and organizers who made our very first KK Music Pedagogy Conference such a success! 💐

🌟 Big applause to our other two pairs of duet players who won Silver Medals in the music festival! 🌟
Performing smoothly in a duet is never an easy task — especially for those who are not siblings. It requires extra effort to rehearse together, coordinate schedules, and build musical chemistry. With their hard work and dedication, both pairs shone on stage and proudly brought home Silver prizes. 🎶👏
Many congratulations to them! With more practice and persistence, we believe they will achieve even greater goals in the upcoming competitions. 💪✨
