Did your child learn to walk by reading a manual? Or talk by studying a dictionary? 🧐

But for some reason, traditional music education does the exact opposite. They put a 6-year-old in front of a sheet of black dots and expect them to “read” before they can “speak” the instrument.
No wonder so many kids quit after six months. It feels like school, not music.

Join us at Legato Music, Likas Square for our Painting Exhibition: Teacher & Student.
This exhibition is extra special as it features the heart and soul of Teacher Jocelyn (Teacher Xunyan), who has been nurturing young creators at Legato for 15 years. Originally from Taiwan and a graduate of Applied Arts, Jocelyn believes that every child can draw and that art is the perfect way to build patience, creativity, and confidence.
From “Underwater World” to “Rainbow After The Rain,” come and see the incredible progress our students have made.
