Alumni of St Francis Convent School Sabah (SFCS) is deeply saddened by the passing of YBHG Datuk Ariah Tengku Ahmad (Franciscan, Class of 1954). We extend our heartfelt condolences to her entire family.

To the Franciscan Big Family, before the late Datuk Ariah became Sabah's first woman Deputy Chief Minister in 1993, she was first and foremost the inaugural president of Alumni SFCS. Alongside her peers, the late Datuk Ariah played a pivotal role in the establishment of Alumni SFCS. At the Association's inaugural meeting on 29th April 1978, she was elected as the president of the Protem Committee. Under her leadership, the Association was officially registered on 17th October 1978. Later, at the Association's first Annual General Meeting on 19th May 1979, Datuk Ariah was elected as the first official president. Though Datuk Ariah have departed from this world, her Franciscan legacy remains and will continue to endure for a long time to come. Thank you, Franciscan Datuk Ariah. May your soul rest in Eternal Peace 🌹
