Second edition (Sumo Robot) of Dive into Robotics 2024 by UMS Robotics Club!

A whopping 23 teams from high schools across Sabah joined the venture in exposing robotics to younger generations. Fun, insightful experience was delivered. Healthy competition spirit was instilled, challenging oneself in robotics since a young age 💪

DIVE INTO ROBOTICS 2024: LINE TRACER

In an electrifying debut, UMS Robotics Club launched the first-ever Dive into Robotics: Line Tracer edition.

Over two dynamic days, 10 teams from high schools across Sabah competed and challenged themselves, bringing the thrill of robotics to life. Sparking bright minds of Sabahan younger generations, knowledge and hands-on experiences were shared among students, and teachers. 🤓

Customizable Controller Workshop! We put our knowledge in embedded programming, hands-on electronics and 3D printing to create something fun; controllers.

Attended by not only club members, but any interested UMS students, knowledge were shared among each other regardless of academic backgrounds.

From bytes to bots, 3-series Embedded Programming Workshop by UMS Robotics Club was a circuit of knowledge!

Done in hybrid mode, the workshop was not limited to only club members. All 3 days were attended by students all around UMS, merging programming theory with practical applications.

GREETINGS & SALAM SEJAHTERA,

|20 March 2024|

UMS Robotics Club received a very encouraging visit from the aspiring Robotics Club of SM Sains Sabah, Tuaran with their very supportive teacher! We delivered insightful robotics information suitable for budding beginners, and did a small demo of our work-in-progress navigation base, as well as a mobile-app controlled car. One of our talented members, Ghazali had also taken the initiative to draw up and 3D print the SMESH logo, to ignite some interest in 3D modelling & printing towards the students!

We hope it was an enjoyable and inspiring visit, fellow next-gens 😊

Dive into Robotics: Line Tracer & Sumo Robot

UMS Robotics Club, in conjunction with U-Science UMS, is broadening the robotics horizon with a workshop & competition of two robot categories (Line Tracer & Sumo Robot). Regardless if you're a curious beginner who needs more exposure or an aspiring enthusiast, all high school levels are welcome to join!

All materials will be provided, all you need is a laptop & a mind ready to learn 🤓

Was our honour to be given two virtual sharings by ViTrox, a multinational company establied in Malaysia.
In the first semester of 2023/2024 we had 1 entitled "From Minimum Viable to Minimum Marketable: A paradigm Shift in Product Design" and another in second semester entitled "Perfect your Resumé". Both were very insightful, especially coming from the experienced ones in the industry!

MINI ROBOCON 2023/2024

It's time for the UMS Robotics Club annual Mini Robocon, where it is the final hurdle for this session's newcomer to be an official member! All our teams have been prepping for 9 weeks and we are excited for their robots!

Mini robocon this year invovles elements such as line-following, maze-solving, and loading unloading! Stay tuned with us.

This also serves as an early exposure for our newcomers as to what to be expecting being a member in UMS Robotics Club.
