UMS Toastmasters Club

We're back and Stronger Together. Our first online meeting of the year was held on 30th January 2024.

There were two project speakers during the meeting:
- TM Ponnarasu Kandasamy from Monash University TMC shared this experience with his mentor (his father 💙)
- DTM Bonaventure Philip Sungka from Misompuru TMC shared his thoughts on how Time Can Wait for everyone

TM Azimah Jamaluddin from Heritage TMC conducted an interesting Table Topics session which garnered fascinating responses from the crowd 🤓

TLI is a biannual event where Toastmasters from all across the Division get together to network, share ideas and be inspired. It is where newly-elected club officers receive training on how to best serve their clubs.

After a long hiatus, UMS Toastmasters Club is back!!

We had our first meeting of the term on 15th August 2023, with the theme Unity and Yusra Afiqah as the Toastmaster of the Evening.

There were 2 manual speakers and a thought provoking Table Topics session on the power of Unity.

Toastmaster Ralph Menon was voted as the Best Table Topics speaker of the Evening 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Demo meeting session on 17th June 2023.

Thank you to our guest speaker, DTM Allen Ang, who shared his thoughts and experience on how Toastmasters has affected his professional and personal life for the better, changing his circle of friends to a group that is positive, supportive and all about personal development.

Attendees also witnessed the presentation of one manual speech and had a chance to take part in the Table Topics (impromptu speech) session.

"Toastmasters is a supplement, not a quick fix like panadol." ~DTM Allen Ang.

It's true...you have to participate and keep with it to really reap the benefits.
