The COVID-19 pandemic has led to health threats, loss of loved ones, loss of income and movement control. In addition, the pandemic has also increased emotional distress, anxiety and depression among the community and impacted the mental well-being of all walks of life in the world, including Malaysia.

In this regard, the Ministry of Health Malaysia has launched the Let's TALK Healthy Minds Media Campaign which is implemented in line with the Mental Health Publicity Plan under the National Agenda of Healthy Malaysia (ANMS). The first phase of the campaign is focused on teenagers and working adults.

Research shows that when people have better knowledge about different types of mental illness, they are significantly less likely to hold discriminatory views towards those suffering from mental illnesses.
