🌍💚 The Great Green Clean | Earth Day 2026 💚🌍

What an enormous success our Great Green Clean has been as part of our Earth Day 2026 celebrations!

A huge thank you to Mr. Bailey, Ms. Jefferson, and Ms. Morrison, and to our incredible KIS students, staff, and parent volunteers, who came together in Period 1 to take meaningful action—cleaning not only our school environment, but extending out along Jalan KIS, through to Jalan Khidmat, the Masjid Nurul Hikmah car park and to the foot of Bukit Padang.

🧤🌱 In what may seem like a small local act, our students demonstrated something far greater—initiative, responsibility, and a commitment to making a difference.

🗑️ With over 28 full bags of rubbish collected, this was a powerful reminder that collective action matters.

At KIS, framed by 'The KIS Way', we strive to nurture young people who think globally and act locally—and Friday's Earth Day event was a perfect example of that in action.

👏 Well done to all involved—let’s keep the momentum going and continue to care for the world around us.

Our recent Coffee Morning, 'Celebrating Every Mind: A Parent Conversation with Dr Chong Tin Fung (My Psychology)', was not only well- attended, but sparked thoughtful and important conversations within our community.

At KIS, we believe school is a microcosm of the world our young people are growing into—where learning goes beyond academics to understanding and thriving alongside others. As part of our commitment to nurturing global citizens in a diverse and caring environment , this week’s focus reminded us that diversity of thinking is just as important as culture or language.

With an estimated 10–20% of the global population being neurodiverse, embracing different ways of thinking is essential. It brings creativity, fresh perspectives, and challenges us to grow.

Thank you to all who joined us!

🍦✨ A Sweet Ending to the Term! ✨🍦

Our Early Years learners had the most deliciously educational adventure during their recent trip to —and what a treat it was!

Through the Junior Gelato Workshop, our little explorers discovered how their favourite gelato is made—from fresh ingredients to the magic of mixing, churning, and freezing. Along the way, they learned that gelato isn’t just yummy… it can also be a healthier treat, made with natural ingredients and lots of care!

There were wide eyes, curious questions, and of course… big smiles (and maybe a few sticky fingers 🤭). Experiences like these bring learning to life—connecting classroom curiosity with real-world discovery in the sweetest way possible.

A perfect way to wrap up the term: learning, laughter, and a scoop (or two) of joy! 💛

Our Year 8 students have taken their science learning beyond the classroom, creating their very own mesocosms — miniature, self-sustaining ecosystems.

From oceans to jungles and rivers, each jar tells a unique story of how living and non-living elements work together. Thoughtfully planned and carefully built, these ecosystems are just getting started!
