An inspiring session exploring how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is shaping the workplace and transforming the way we learn, work and access information. 💡

Organised by the CityU Cultural & Arts Club in collaboration with the Sabah Innovation & Digital Transformation Club (ITDS) on 14 August 2026.

The session provided students with valuable insights into AI technology, digital skills, responsible AI usage, and how to use AI effectively while maintaining academic integrity and avoiding plagiarism.

16 August 2026, A meaningful Sunday spent learning beyond the classroom! 📚✨

Our 88 students explored Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu as part of their DBCT3053 – Consumer Marketing group assignment, gaining real-world insights into consumer behaviour, products, branding and marketing strategies.

A great experience of turning classroom knowledge into real-life learning! 🎓

🎓 AMAR City University (Sabah) at the 10th AMAR Convention

Congratulations to Nurfarhana Vincent Chung, President of AMAR City University (Sabah) and a Year 2 Diploma in Management student, for representing City University Malaysia – Sabah at the 10th AMAR Convention, held from 7–9 August 2026 at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI).

Themed “Strengthening AMAR Institutionalisation, Catalysing Sustainable Student Literacy,” the convention aimed to strengthen integrity, leadership values and collaboration between AMAR and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM).

The participation was fully sponsored by SPRM. May this experience continue to empower our students to become future leaders with strong integrity and values. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏽✨

Setinggi-tinggi tahniah diucapkan kepada lima (5) orang pelajar yang telah mewakili City University Malaysia (Sabah) dalam Program Bersahabat dengan Kamus: Bijak Kata, anjuran Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Cawangan Sabah sempena Temasya Restu Jiwa Pahlawan. Majlis perasmian serta penyampaian hadiah telah disempurnakan oleh YBhg. Datuk Dr. Hazami bin Jahari, Ketua Pengarah DBP Malaysia.

Dengan penuh semangat dan dedikasi, pasukan City University Malaysia (Sabah) berjaya meraih Naib Juara (Tempat Kedua) selepas berdepan saingan daripada beberapa Institut Pendidikan Guru (IPG) dan universiti tempatan.

Kejayaan ini membuktikan bahawa warga CityU bukan sahaja cemerlang dalam bidang akademik, malah turut menyerlah dalam penguasaan bahasa dan ilmu.

🚀 DIGITAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WORKSHOP 2026

City University Malaysia (Sabah) successfully organized the Digital Entrepreneurship Workshop 2026 on 16 July 2026 in collaboration with STAAD, the Culture & Arts Club, and the Student Representative Council.

The workshop featured inspiring sessions including Digital Entrepreneurship Talks, Career Talks, Marketing Simulations, Interactive Quizzes, and student business booths by the Faculty of Business Management.

Officiated by Mr. Hady Sham Hj. Nureddin, CEO of Sri Pelancongan Sabah. The program aimed to empower students with entrepreneurial knowledge, digital skills, and practical experiences to prepare them for future opportunities.

📌 Collaboration Discussion with Qhazanah Sabah Berhad

City University Malaysia was honoured to engage in a strategic discussion with YB Senator Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Anifah Aman, Chairman of Qhazanah Sabah Berhad and Datin Rohaidah Shaari, Managing Director of City University Malaysia to explore meaningful opportunities for collaboration in advancing education and empowering future generations across Borneo.

The discussion focused on building long-term partnerships that can drive innovation, nurture future talent, and create greater access to quality education for communities throughout the region.

Official courtesy visit to Zakat MUIS was successfully conducted earlier today.

The delegation was represented by Mr. Hafez (COO City University Malaysia - Sabah & CEO City Academy), Mr. Cristnorish(TVET Programme Manager) and Mdm. Yusrimah(Head of Academic). This visit served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships and explore potential avenues for future collaboration.
