Wadi Sofia International School

Wadi Sofia International School An international co-ed school which offers education from Kindergarten, Primary Year 1-6 leading to It is named after his beloved mother, Sofia.

Wadi Sofia College is located on the outskirt of Kota Bharu, the capital city of the state of Kelantan in the Federation of Malaysia. Wadi Sofia College was established in 2002 on the 21-acre family estate of Datuk Hassan, which was founded in 1976. Originally it was a small rubber plantation surrounded by orchards and padi fields with a few villagers. Now, it has been transformed into a garden of

fruit trees and exotic plants, and remained surrounded by padi fields and a forest of orchards, and mostly middle-class residences. It is ever green, fresh and very clean, free from any pollution, which is a rarity these days. Kota Bharu is multi-racial like most cities in Malaysia. It has a thriving ethnic Chinese minority who are mostly Buddhists and makes up 15% of its 400,000 population. There are also Christians and Hindus. The rest are mostly the ethnic Malays who are Muslims. They are very friendly, easy-going and accommodating. Being Muslims they are generally conservative explaining why Kota Bharu is almost free of distractions of such pop culture and social ills plaguing cities around the world. Kota Bharu is an ideal location for a school, which aspires to provide a holistic education away from the urban challenges which worry most parents.

What an exciting week for us at Wadi Sofia! We were honoured to welcome the Royal Thai Consulate 🇹🇭, along with 40 wonderful students from various provinces across Thailand, for a one-day study visit.

Our students teamed up for fun and meaningful group projects, exploring multiculturalism and proudly showcasing local products from each other’s countries 🌏

It was truly an enriching experience filled with learning, laughter, and new friendships. Moments like these remind us how beautiful cultural exchange can be ❤️

We hope this is just the beginning—and that we’ll soon have the chance to visit Thailand and continue this amazing journey together!

Thank you for visiting, and we can’t wait to meet again! 🙌

A day of creativity, confidence, and second chances! 🌞
Students took charge of their own stalls — selling all kinds of treats from lasagna and ramen to cookies and jelly balls. 🍝🍜🍪
Many who joined last year came back stronger this year — refining their ideas, improving their teamwork, and making their stalls shine brighter than ever! ✨

🎭 Annual Spotlight 2025 🎶
This year, our stage became a place to share values that matter most. We listened to heartfelt poems on Palestine 🇵🇸, enjoyed the rhythm of a dikir barat about standing against bullying, watched a Japanese song performed with sign language, and laughed and reflected through skits that reminded us to respect and embrace diversity.

It was a meaningful evening that showed the power of student voices and creativity in bringing important messages to life.

A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and everyone involved. Your effort and spirit made it all possible. 🌸✨
