A tiny visitor in our school today 🐌🌿

The children were fascinated as they carefully observed a snail making its way across a big banana leaf. These simple nature moments encourage curiosity, observation skills, and hands-on learning.

Did you know snails carry their homes on their backs? Their shells help protect them from danger and from drying out in the hot weather.

We talked about how snails move slowly using a strong muscular “foot” and how they leave behind a shiny trail of mucus to help them glide along surfaces.

Nature walks and outdoor exploration encourage children to ask questions, observe closely, and develop respect for living things

Our 17 month old | A | Tiny reader, big milestones.

At just 17 months, she’s already making meaningful connections between images and words during our Jolly Phonics sessions.
She was independently looking at the pictures and naming them—showing early comprehension and growing confidence in her vocabulary.

Even at this young age, children are capable of far more than we often realise, for example, at the last word, we gently corrected her by saying ‘man’.
Upon reviewing the video, we realised she was actually saying ‘dad’—making a meaningful connection in her own way.
