At the very northern tip of Long Island in New York is a beautiful place with a dark sky view over the Atlantic Ocean. And that is where astrophotographer Jim Abels went (Montauk, specifically) to capture this stunning of the Milky Way and a comet in April.

"Overlooking the vast Atlantic Ocean, I composed a view of the stacking rocks (cairns) in the foreground with a crisp view of our Milky Way galaxy up above. Surprisingly, a bright green dot appeared above the core of the Milky Way," Abels wrote in an email to Space.com. http://goo.gl/jM4kkw

Banyak berita berkenaan dengan 'benda bulatan keliling matahari' sekarang, kebanyakan di kawasan lembah kelang.

Itulah fenomena SUN HALO, berlaku apabila cahaya matahari dibiaskan oleh kristal-kristal air di udara/atmosfera yang sedang sejuk sekitar lembah kelang.

Ia boleh berlaku kepada MATAHARI DAN juga BULAN.

Sebelum keluar teori yang pelik-pelik jom kita belajar dulu berkenaan dengan Halo.

Malam ini, 26 April 2015, jangan lupa pandang ke arah langit barat, selepas azan Isya'.

Bulan dan Musytari p**a berada sebelah-menyebelah! Musytari akan kelihatan seperti 'bintang cerah' ke kanan dari Bulan.

Selain itu, buruj Orion kelihatan semakin rendah ke arah ufuk barat. Tak lama lagi hilanglah ia dari pandangan buat beberapa bulan.

Planet Zuhrah terus menerus menjadi objek paling cerah berhampiran sebelah kanan dari buruj Orion. Memang tak boleh miss.
