Grateful for the chance to celebrate our Lab Reunion together with group members, alumni and current PG and UG students.

Beyond research, experiments, and deadlines, moments like these remind us that a laboratory is also a place where friendship, teamwork, and ukhuwah are built.

May the bonds we share continue to grow stronger, and may our journey together be filled with success, support, and meaningful memories.

Excited to share that our research group had the opportunity to visit the SEMICON Southeast Asia exhibition at MITEC yesterday.

It was a valuable experience to explore the latest advancements in MEMS, semiconductor technologies, smart manufacturing, and emerging industry trends.

From cutting-edge fabrication processes to recent breakthroughs in sensors and microelectronics, the visit gave us deeper exposure to real-world innovation beyond the classroom and laboratory.

Grateful for the opportunity and looking forward to more industry exposure programs that bridge academic learning with technological innovation.

We’re currently looking for people to join us 😊. Please drop me an email if you are interested.

On 27 January 2025, our research group successfully organized a community outreach program named CLEAN WATER, HEALTHY FARMERS: TECHNOLOGY AGAINST LEPTOSPIROSIS led by Prof Anis Nurashikin Nordin, involving 30 farmers from Kampung Kota, Negeri Sembilan. The program was fully sponsored by the LIF Community Grant from the Royal Academy of Engineering (United Kingdom) and the UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).

The objective of this program was to raise awareness on the importance of clean water and the role of technology in preventing leptospirosis among farming communities. The program featured a series of talks by invited speakers, including Dr Mohd Ridzuan, Pakar Perubatan Kesihatan Awam, KKM, Prof Monet Concepcion Detras, University of Phillipines and Prof Hazleen Anuar from IIUM.

We hope that this initiative will bring meaningful benefits to the community. Our sincere appreciation goes to all committee members for their valuable contributions in making this program a success. Anis Nurashikin Nordin Ahmad Fairuz Khairul Faisal Afiq Ghani Aliza Aini Muhammad Faiz Zairizam

Excited to share our recent STEM program entitled Teknologi & Gaya: Meneroka Dunia Elektronik Tekstil melalui STEM.
Its a hands-on journey of electronic textiles.

This initiative was run as part of Summer School 2025, proudly organized by Perintis Youth IIUM together with our research group VLSI & MEMS Research Unit, IO Office, KOE IIUM, and IEEE EDS Malaysia Chapter, supported by the Malaysia International Enrichment Matching Fund (MIEMF).

We were happy to host 9 participants from Universitas Telkom, Indonesia and 9 IIUM students, creating a great space for global learning and collaboration.

With the help of facilitators from our research group , participants explored how to integrate LilyPad Arduino with textiles and wrapped up with creative fashion-themed group projects.
