Single-dose vaccines have obvious advantages, especially in current emergency situation. Double the number of people can be vaccinated compared to other candidates, which would lead to faster deployment, and reduced costs.

Malaysia’s total Covid-19 cases breached the 10,000 mark on Wednesday (Sept 16), with 62 more cases reported in the past 24 hours.

Among the 62 new cases, 60 cases were detected in Sabah, while the other two were detected in Penang and Kedah.

Malaysia reported 23 more Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (15 Sept), bringing the total cases in the country to 9,969.

Among the new cases, 10 are imported cases, 13 are local transmission.
