Malaysian Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (MABIP) is dedicated to promoting excellence in clinical care, education and research.
The fields of bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology and interventional bronchoscopy are rapidly expanding. We aim to enhance multidisciplinary and international collaboration in our effort to develop and improve techniques and procedures that will benefit our patients with tracheo bronchial and pleural diseases. We are pleased to announce that CARINA 2026 is continuing its tradition as a dynamic academic platform dedicated to advancing knowledge in respiratory and pleural medicine.

β’ Parallel scientific tracks covering airway disease, TB, ILD, thoracic oncology, imaging, sleep medicine, and emerging technologies
β’ Extensive hands-on workshops designed to enhance procedural skills and clinical interpretation
Planned hands-on sessions will include practical training in areas such as:
β’ Thoracic ultrasound
β’ Intercostal drainage and pneumothorax management
β’ Spirometry
β’ Bronchoscopy and airway interventions include EBUS, cryotherapy, and airway stenting
β’ CPET and ABG interpretation
β’ Inhaler techniques and FeNO assessment

MABIP-PARU IP FELLOWSHIP
We congratulate our IP fellow from Pakistan π΅π°, Dr Mohammad Asif Khan Afridi, on passing the MCQs and skills assessment. Besides the MCQs and skills assessment, we also looked at his logbook and progress in publication during his 3 months with us.
During the 3 months, he was at the following hospitals:

3. Damansara Specialist Hospital 2
