We are is pleased to announce that Ir. Dr. Chua Yaw Long has been appointed as a Co-Investigator for an international research project funded under the NAIHE Small Research Project Grant (SRPG) 2026 by the Newcastle Australia Institute of Higher Education (NAIHE), Singapore.

The project, titled “Perceptions of Staff and Students Towards Special and Inclusive Education in Higher Education Institutions in Singapore and Malaysia: An Analysis of Policies and Practice,” is led by Associate Professor Dr. Koh Yit Yan of NAIHE. It will examine how inclusive education policies translate into practice across both countries.

The project brings together researchers from NAIHE and UNITEN to advance research in inclusive education.

Congratulations to Dr. Chua and the research team, and we wish them every success in delivering meaningful research outcomes.

International Regulatory Conference 2026 (IRC 2026)

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) is pleased to invite students from the College of Engineering, Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) to participate in the International Regulatory Conference 2026 (IRC 2026).

The conference will be held on 21–22 July 2026 (Tuesday & Wednesday) at the Grand Ballroom, Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur. This event aims to develop forward-looking regulatory approaches that support innovation while safeguarding public interest in an increasingly digital society.

Transportation will be provided from the UNITEN Putrajaya Campus. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis.

🌱 Renewable Energy Project Development in Malaysia: Integrating Risk Mapping & Regulatory Framework for ASEAN Power Grid

The College of Graduate Studies (COGS), UNITEN successfully hosted another engaging session under the ESCM Industry Insights Series 2026, featuring an insightful talk on "Renewable Energy Project Development in Malaysia: Integrating Risk Mapping & Regulatory Framework for ASEAN Power Grid."

The session was delivered by Ir. Mohd Qaharuddin Bin Abdullah, General Manager of the Renewable Energy Division at AMCOP Group Berhad, who shared his extensive industry experience and practical insights into Malaysia's evolving renewable energy landscape.

Participants gained valuable knowledge on:
✅ Renewable energy project development in Malaysia and the key factors driving industry growth. ✅ The importance of risk mapping and strategic decision-making in ensuring successful project implementation.
✅ Malaysia's regulatory framework and industry best practices that support sustainable energy initiatives. ✅ Opportunities and challenges surrounding the ASEAN Power Grid and regional energy integration.

The interactive session encouraged meaningful discussions between the speaker and participants, providing valuable exposure to real-world industry practices while strengthening the connection between academia and industry.
