Program ini direka bagi melangkaui kaedah penilaian prestasi dengan memperkenalkan kerangka GROW, OILS dan RICE, yang menekankan kepada kepimpinan berasaskan bimbingan (coaching), maklum balas berkesan (feedback), dan penilaian prestasi yang adil dan berintegriti (appraisal). Melalui pendekatan ini, para peserta dapat melihat bagaimana prestasi individu boleh dihubungkan secara langsung dengan hasil dan kejayaan organisasi.

Selain itu, peserta turut didedahkan kepada profil personaliti MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) bagi memahami perbezaan gaya komunikasi dan pengaruh dalam memimpin pasukan. Sesi ini membantu peserta menggunakan teknik pengaruh yang sesuai seperti Logical Persuading, Appealing to Values, Consulting, dan Modelling bagi memperkukuh hubungan kerja yang lebih harmoni dan keberkesanan komunikasi yang berkesan.

Program ini turut menampilkan aktiviti Speed Dating Influence Practice dan Role Play Coaching Session yang membolehkan peserta mempraktikkan pendekatan GROW dan OILS dalam simulasi dunia sebenar. Pendekatan ini bukan sahaja meningkatkan kecekapan kepimpinan, malah menggalakkan pemimpin TNB menjadi coach dan pembimbing berkesan dalam organisasi.

Peserta mendapati program ini menarik, relevan dan teratur, dengan bahan pembelajaran yang jelas serta sesi interaktif. Alat GROW, OILS dan RICE sangat praktikal dan berguna dalam kepimpinan serta pengurusan prestasi serta mencadangkan agar program ini diperluaskan kepada lebih ramai peringkat pemimpin, dengan tempoh latihan yang lebih panjang.

Melalui program ini, peserta menunjukkan penglibatan aktif dalam sesi refleksi, perkongsian pengalaman, dan latihan situasi sebenar yang menekankan kepimpinan berasaskan nilai, empati, dan kebertanggungjawaban.

The Jungfrau Program aims to accelerate the leadership readiness of newly promoted managers by strengthening their core leadership capabilities beyond just transition so they can lead teams, drive collaboration, and deliver results in alignment with TNB's strategic direction.

Day 1: DISC Model
Learned the DISC framework (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness) to adapt communication, practice empathetic listening and improve self-awareness for better relationships.

Day 2: 4 Disciplines of Ex*****on (4DX)
A โ€˜Paper Planeโ€™ simulation demonstrated the 4DX framework: focus on a Wildly Important Goal, act on predictive Lead Measures, maintain a visible Scoreboard and hold a regular Cadence of Accountability to achieve goals in a chaotic environment.

Day 3: Emotional Intelligence (EQ)
Established self-awareness as the foundation of EQ. Introduced the Think-Feel-Act cycle and the importance of self-reflection to manage emotions and improve decision-making and relationships.

Day 4: Mindset, Empathy & Teamwork
Focused on managing oneโ€™s mindset, practicing empathetic listening and strengthening relationships (using the 3 Aโ€™s: Acknowledge, Appreciate, Amplify). A drum circle illustrated how trust, shared rhythm and communication enable team "flow."

Day 5: Managing Triggers
Used the zip-line analogy to teach how to handle anxiety triggers: pause with nonjudgmental curiosity, then take a courageous action to reframe limiting beliefs and transform fear into freedom.

Overall, the program progressed from understanding oneself and others (DISC, EQ), to executing goals effectively (4DX), fostering teamwork and finally, building personal resilience by mastering emotional triggers.

That was the spirit of our 23rd Conversations Amongst Leaders (CAL) , featuring Puan Juniwati Rahmat Hussin , Board Member of TNB, who brought the room to life with her reflections on how proposals can truly resonate with the Board.

Her sharing reminded us that effective proposals are not only about facts and figures but about structure, strategy and the courage to connect. Among her key messages were:

Our 21st Conversations Amongst Leaders (CAL) brought together two of our C-suite leaders, Tuan Haji Amir Mahmod Bin Abdullah (Chief Procurement Officer) and Miss Leo Pui Yong (Chief Sustainability Officer) for a session rich with stories, insights and thought-provoking ideas.

From the CPO, we explored the power of time management through its four cycles โ€” Result, Overdraft, Investment and Addiction โ€” and how mastering them can motivate us, shape our priorities, and unlock possibilities we once thought out of reach.

From the CSO, we reflected on the three pillars plus personal wellness as the foundation of sustainable leadership, navigated the 3C challenges and learned why non-linear thinking can hold us back if left unchallenged. We were reminded to connect the dots, stay alert to weak signals, and free ourselves from the assumptions that cloud our vision.

Woven together, their perspectives painted a picture of leadership that is both strategic and deeply human where curiosity meets discipline and where awareness fuels action.

๐Ÿ“ Bangi, 29 July 2025 | The 20th session of Conversation Amongst Leaders (CAL) brought together an inspiring mix of honesty, warmth, and reflection at the Leadership Development Centre (LDC), ILSAS โ€” this time featuring YBrs. Datuk Ir. Megat Jalaluddin bin Megat Hassan, Chief Executive Officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).

This marked Datuk Megatโ€™s third CAL sharing session, and once again, he proved that leadership isnโ€™t just about sitting at the top โ€” itโ€™s about staying connected, grounded, and genuinely curious about the realities faced by the people who move the organisation forward every day.

Organised by the Leadership Development Centre (LDC) in collaboration with the Group People Division, this session brought together non-executive team leaders from various departments across TNB, creating a space for genuine conversations โ€” no heavy protocols, no rehearsed speeches โ€” just real talk between leadership and the heart of the workforce.

Throughout the session, participants were given the floor to express their hopes, challenges, and perspectives surrounding leadership, wellness, and daily realities on the ground. More than just a dialogue, it became a shared moment of reflection and reconnection.

The Qualities of a Leader: What Datoโ€™ Azman Truly Believes

Our Conversations Amongst Leaders (CAL) session on 24 July featured a grounded and thought-provoking sharing by Datoโ€™ Azman M***i, in a session with ICT management and academy representatives.

Instead of focusing on technical skills or achievements, Datoโ€™ Azman chose to speak from the heart, reflecting on his personal beliefs, values and what leadership means on a deeper level.

He shared openly about:

1) What I Believe In โ€” his leadership philosophy shaped by humility, purpose and faith.

2) Divine Intervention โ€” that no leader can achieve results without the will and permission of Allah, and how this awareness should ground every decision.
