🎻✨ A Day of Musical Excellence at GAIS ✨🎻

We were privileged to welcome internationally acclaimed cellist Lyubomira Stankova to GAIS for a special masterclass and school-wide presentation.

During the masterclass, one of our students received personalized coaching in cello performance, gaining valuable insights into technique, musical expression, and the artistry behind a captivating performance. Meanwhile, the wider school community was inspired by Lyubomira's engaging presentation and live performance, offering a glimpse into the dedication, creativity, and passion that define a professional musician's journey.

In addition, five students from Years 6, 8, 9, and 10 were given the unique opportunity to perform alongside Miss Stankova in an ensemble setting. Together, they presented excerpts from Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and Beethoven's Ode to Joy, providing our young musicians with an invaluable experience of collaborative music-making under the guidance of an accomplished international artist.

Born in Bulgaria and now based in Malaysia, Lyubomira has performed across Europe and Asia, collaborated with musicians from around the world, and continues to inspire the next generation through her work as a performer, educator, adjudicator, and founder of Lyu Music Academy.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lyubomira Stankova for generously sharing her expertise, artistry, and passion with our students. Her willingness to conduct a masterclass, perform alongside our young musicians, and inspire the entire school community through her presentation made this a truly memorable and enriching experience for all.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our Head of Music, Mr. Roslee, for creating opportunities such as this for our students. His dedication to providing authentic learning experiences and connecting students with accomplished professionals enables our young musicians to learn from the very best and continue developing their talents with confidence and inspiration.
