SMJK Yu Hua English Language Society - ELS

On 12/102024, Saturday we held our activity offline.

Firstly we played Master Mind🧠. Everyone gave full attention and commitment while playing! Gongrats to all the winners that have successfully guessed the “word”.😍😍

Next, we played the classic game “Hangman”🙇‍♂️. It challenged the members vocabulary skills and looks like everyone did a great job 👏 and managed to guess all the vocab😉

Then, we played memory game where it really tested the members ability to memorise words in a short time🕰️ .A big applause to the boys team that have won!!🙌

Later on, we played “fortunately unfortunately “.Where the first player needs to start the story with “fortunately “ then the second player will have to continue the story with “unfortunately “ and so on…. This game brought so many laughter to the activity 😙🤩

Lastly, we played a game of Mafia🐺 and the werewolves have won the game 😼😼

A huge shoutout to everyone member that attended our activity 🫶🏻🫶🏻 Can’t wait to see u all on the next activity!!!

On 14/09/2024, we held our monthly activity offline

We started of with the “Kims game “where it tested the members’ memorising ability 🧠
Everyone did a great job👏

Then we moved on with the second game which is debate. The topic of the debate was “Is social media doing more harm than good “🧐 both the government and opposition team did a great job at giving points and rebutting 🤩

We have also given the members a task to write a poem according to the topic “happiness “😁 This tested the members’ creativity in writing ✍️

Lastly, we ended with “musical chairs 🎶🪑 “ this tested the members’ reaction ability and everyone did great!

A big shoutout to everyone who attend today’s activity thank you so much and we hope to see everyone again on the next activity!!!🥰🥰

Time flies, and we have officially reached the end of this year’s English Month. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and see the winners for our competitions! 🏆

Throughout the whole month of June, the English Panel and English Language Society hosted a number of activities and competitions in conjunction with English Month 2024.

🌟 A huge shoutout to all the incredible students who participated in these events!
This year’s responses were off the charts this year — your enthusiasm made this month a resounding success, and we couldn't have done it without your passion and dedication.

To those who didn’t get a chance to take part or didn’t walk away with a win, don’t lose hope and your perseverance — there’s always next year to shine even brighter! 🔥 We can’t wait to see what you'll bring next time.

On 10/08/2024, Saturday we’ve held our monthly activity offline as well as our annual general meeting(AGM)

We started with the icebreaking game “Funny Questions”. This game has brought lots of laughter to today’s activity🤩🥰. Next, we played “Word Bomb”. This game tested the members’ spelling skill.🤯

We also played Party Bag 🎉where members need to guess what is in a box. Everyone was so good at guessing the item!! Then, we ended off the game session with a classic game”Duck Duck Goose”🪿

Lastly, we ended off with our annual general meeting(AGM). We really appreciated all the committees of year 23/24 🫶🏻now it’s time for the new committees to take over 🤝🏻.All the best on SPM and ELS will always welcome you all🫂 do come back and visit us😉.

As for the new committees congratulations 🙌 and let’s work hard together in the future!!!!

On 13/7/2024, Saturday we've held our monthly activity offline.

We started with the icebreaking game called "Simon Says". This game was able to test members' listening skills and their attention to the game. Next, we played "Mastermind", where 3 members had to guess the word by the hint given by the other members 💁🏻

Moving on, we played the game "Trivia" as well. This game tested the members' knowledge about the things around us. At last, we ended our activity with the game "Writing/Speaking". The theme was Zombie Apocalypse. Every group had showed their hard work to the game and your presentation was truly interesting. Well done to everyone 🙌🏻

On 8/6/2024, Saturday we've also held our monthly activity offline.

We start off the bat with "action does not equal to word" game. This game was able test the members' quick thinking skills🙋🏻 Next, we've played "Guess the Imposter". Members had guessed the hiding imposter among the groups precisely in every game🙌🏻.

Another common game we've play which is "Sn**ch the marker". Everyone had showed their dedication to this game and helping each other to win the game💪🏻. At last, we've played "Guess The Song". This game helps to improve the knowledge of English song of the members and cultirates the members' interest in English song🎶

We're thankful for the appearance of the members in the activity. Hope everyone enjoyed the games we prepared too! See yall in the next monthly activity😎

On the 25th of June, we held our orientation day for this school year. ⭐📚

We were very happy to witness some new faces taking part in our first activity of 2024. 🙌🏻
