After learning about community and traditional ways of life, our young explorers continued their Our World, Our Stories journey with an exciting Eco Adventure at Camp RED, Bentong!
This time, the children stepped into the role of explorers and navigators, learning how to use a compass and map before putting their new skills to the test. They worked together to navigate their way through the surroundings, learning that successful exploration takes more than just finding the right direction — it takes observation, communication, teamwork and a little bit of courage too!
One of the highlights was our Geocaching Challenge — a modern-day treasure hunt where participants use compass coordinates and clues to locate hidden containers or "caches" along a route. Armed with their navigation skills, our explorers searched, solved clues and worked together to uncover their hidden treasures. 🗺️🔎
And after all that exploring, it was time to slow down and reconnect with nature. The children ventured out to a small waterfall, taking time to explore, observe and simply enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest.
It was a day filled with muddy paths, curious minds, teamwork and plenty of little moments of discovery. 💚 Because sometimes, the best way to learn about our world isn't from a book — it's by stepping outside, getting a little lost, finding your way again, and discovering the adventure waiting along the way.
Our World, Our Stories — opening young minds to the people, places and experiences that make our world wonderfully diverse. 🌏✨
