Topic: Grammar - Revision of Verb 'to be' (is, am, are)
Class: K2

Yesterday, our Kindergarten 2 (K2) students had a fun and engaging activity practising using forms of the verb "to be" (is, am, are). We turned learning into a game where the children hopped from one word to another on the floor and said the correct form of the verb out loud!

🏃‍♀️ They had to read sentences or words like "He ___", then jump to the correct answer, whether it's "is," "am," or "are."

🌟 This activity helped them understand which verbs to use based on the subject while keeping them active and excited about learning!

Great job to all the students who participated! 👏 Keep practising, and you'll master "to be" in no time!

Topic: Phonics - Matching & Spelling CVC Words.
Class: K1

Yesterday, our K1 students had a blast learning how to spell CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words! We started off by matching CVC words to pictures, making it easier for the students to understand. Then, we played an exciting Musical Box activity! 🎶

When the music stopped, each student had a turn to pick one piece of paper from a jar and spell and say a CVC word. It was such a fun and engaging way to practise spelling!

We love learning through play!

We learned about prepositions! The students had to physically place themselves or toys/dolls in different positions to demonstrate the meaning of the words. We loved this activity because it focuses on the movement of one object and helps students better understand the meanings of words like 'in,' 'on,' 'under,' 'over,' and 'between.'

Before we started the game, the students needed to spell and read the words. Here is the Vowel Digraph Bingo vocabulary list:

Yesterday, our K2 students participated in a lesson to develop speaking skills, about "My Ambition." Each student shared what they aspire to be when they grow up and explained why they chose that career. From doctor, pilot, baker, and teacher to astronaut, scientist, and soldier, their dreams were so inspiring.

As part of the Islamic Integration, the lesson also emphasized the importance of niyyah (intention) in their ambitions. The children were encouraged to choose careers that contribute positively to society, reminding them that by helping others and working with good intentions, they are fulfilling their duties as Muslims. This activity nurtured their speaking skills, confidence, and moral values meaningfully. We're proud of their efforts and heartfelt dreams!

[SAGA Weeks: 🏊🏻Swimming Competition - Qualifying Round🏊🏻]

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to inform you that the qualifying round for the Preschool Swimming Competition has been successfully conducted this morning. We have compiled the list of participants for each category who will be competing in the Final Swimming Competition scheduled for Tuesday, 30th July 2024.

Parents are warmly invited to attend the Final Swimming Competition as spectators and cheer for our young swimmers. The details of the event will be as below:

Venue: Swimming Pool, Kompleks Mutiara Johorland
Day: Tuesday, 30th July 2024
Time : 9.00am-10.30am

Please arrive a little earlier to secure seating.
