On 11 May 2026, Seminar Industry Pengangkutan & Logistik 2026 was successfully held on at Ponderosa Golf & Country Resort, Johor Bahru. The seminar was organised by the Johor Transport & Logistics Operators' Association , bringing together transportation and logistics industry leaders, government agencies, strategic partners and academician from across Malaysia.

𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐅𝐁𝐌) representatives, including the Dean, HOD, lecturers and 𝐃𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐚 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 students, proudly participated by setting up a booth to promote faculty programmes and the new 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐏𝐂𝐋𝐌).

The seminar featured insightful presentations and engaging discussions on industry compliance, road transport safety, logistics transformation, driver competency development, and sustainable industry practices. More than just a seminar, the event served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and exchanging real industry experiences among stakeholders.

It was inspiring to witness strong collaboration between academia and industry in shaping the future of the transportation and logistics sector. FBM looks forward to more impactful industry engagements and strategic collaborations in the future.

2026年5月11日，“运输与物流行业研讨会2026”在柔佛新山Ponderosa高尔夫与乡村度假村圆满举行。本次研讨会由柔佛运输与物流同业公会主办，汇聚了来自全马各地的运输与物流行业领袖、政府机构代表、战略合作伙伴以及学术界人士。

On 1-5 May 2026, 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐅𝐁𝐌), Southern University College successfully participated as a Co-Organizer for the 9𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐈𝐑𝐂𝐌𝐒𝐓 2026), held in Batam, Indonesia.

Approximately 10 lecturers from the Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology (FEIT), and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHSS) participated in the conference through both physical and online modes. Around 4 lecturers physically presented research papers as well as participated in the “Writing Bibliometric Analysis Using AI” workshop.

Southern UC lecturers also received three awards during the conference:
• Best Paper Award – Ms. Sangita (FBM)
• Best Presenter Award – Ms. Jocelyn Lee Ker Sin (FHSS)
• Best Participant Award – Assistant Professor Dr. Joann Lim (FBM)

As one of the co-organisers, FBM representatives actively contributed as committee members, secretariat, and moderators, reflecting strong commitment towards academic excellence and international collaboration.

The conference and workshop provided valuable exposure to academic research, innovation, bibliometric analysis, AI-assisted research, and academic publication development.

2026年5月1日至5日，南方大学学院企业与管理学院（FBM）荣幸担任第九届多学科社会科学与科技国际研究会议（IRCMST 2026）的协办单位。该会议在印尼巴淡岛举行。

约有10位来自企业与管理学院（FBM）、工程与资讯科技学院（FEIT）以及人文与社会学院（FHSS）的讲师参与此次会议，采用线上与线下方式进行交流。4位讲师亲临现场发表论文，并参与“利用人工智能撰写文献计量分析”的专题工作坊。

南方大学学院讲师荣获三项重要奖项：
