On 4 March 2026, Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB) has successfully organised the Program Bubur Lambuk IIB Bersama Komuniti at the Asia Drone Experience Centre.

Held in the spirit of Ramadan, the initiative brought together approximately 150 volunteers from IIB and MDIS Malaysia International College to prepare and distribute bubur lambuk to the local community.

The programme also highlighted strong student engagement, with IIB volunteers and MDIS students actively involved in the planning, preparation, and packing activities. Their participation demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and a shared commitment to community service.

Bubur lambuk was distributed to communities around Iskandar Puteri, including EduCity Iskandar students, visitors at Mall of Medini, local authorities, and members of the public, reflecting IIB’s continued commitment to strengthening community bonds and nurturing socially responsible individuals.

EduCity and the Singapore Economics and Management Institute (SEMI) held a document exchange ceremony on 27 August 2025 at the IIB Experience Centre, witnessed by Alibaba International Digital Technology. The exchange marks a major milestone in bringing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Certification Programme by Alibaba to Johor — equipping talent with future-ready skills and strengthening the state’s digital economy.

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Lai Cheng Yi from SEMI, Mr. Gu Wei representing Alibaba International Digital Technology, and EduCity representatives Mr. Krishnamoorthy and Puan Azizah Khalid Merican.
