Alhamdulillah, the 5th international conference on applied computinn 2025 (ICAC2025) was sucessfully held in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu on 18-19 August 2025.
The conference featured two distinguished keynote spekers with extensive knowledge and experience in industry-based project
Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mustafa bin Man, Deputy Director of the Research Management & Innovation Centre, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu.
Dr. Noor Irliana binti Mohd Rahim, Manager of Information Technology, Marrybrown Sdn. Bhd.
ICAC2025 was conducted in a hybrid mode, both physically and online. A total of 44 research papers were presented by participants from various countries, including Malaysia, Indonesia, China, and Pakistan, among others.
The conference successfully achieved its objectives of providing a platform for constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and collaboration among researchers.

Congratulations to Dr. Seah Choon Sean, one of the ALIAS members, for winning second prize in the Southeast Asia Division Contest of the China International College Students' Innovation Competition (SEA-CICSIC 2025)

This prestigious competition brings together students and young researchers from across Southeast Asia to showcase innovative ideas and technological solutions that can make a meaningful impact on society and industry. Representing UTM, the project titled NexScholar is an intelligent platform powered by Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics, developed to strengthen research networking, academic collaboration, and engagement with industry and government agencies.
The team is led by Dr. Seah Choon Sean and comprises three students: Loh Yin Xia (PhD in Informatics Engineering), Wong Yit Khee (PhD in Computer Science), and Yeong Wern Jie (Bachelor’s degree in Data Engineering). The team is also guided by two advisors, Dr. Ahmad Najmi Amerhaider Nuar and Dr. Muhammad Alif Ahmad.
