Our Primary students had a productive and engaging writing session focused on developing essential literacy and communication skills.


Through various writing exercises, pupils practised forming letters neatly, copying words and sentences accurately, and writing simple words independently. These activities helped strengthen their pencil grip, hand control, and fine motor skills while building confidence in written communication.


Students also expanded their vocabulary, learned to arrange words into meaningful sentences, and practised using correct spelling when constructing sentences. By following teacher instructions and completing writing tasks independently, they continued to develop important language and learning skills.

📚 Bahasa Melayu Class – Building Sentences & Literacy Skills ✍️


Our Primary students had an engaging Bahasa Melayu lesson focused on sentence construction and literacy development.


Through picture-based activities, students learned how to identify information from images, choose suitable words, and build simple sentences with the correct structure. They also expanded their vocabulary while improving their reading and writing confidence.


During the imlak (dictation) activity, students practised listening carefully, spelling words accurately, and writing neatly and clearly. These activities helped strengthen their Bahasa Melayu communication skills while encouraging active learning and self-confidence.

🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Jumping & Throw Challenge 🎯


Our Primary students at Avicena School had an exciting and energetic Physical Activity session on 20 May 2026! Through the Jumping & Throw Challenge, pupils enjoyed learning through movement while developing important physical and social skills.

✅ Improved balance and coordination
✅ Strengthened gross motor skills
✅ Followed movement instructions confidently

📚 Topic: Ordinal Numbers and Positions


Our students had an engaging and interactive Morning Circle session focused on Mathematics, specifically learning about ordinal numbers and positions.


Through fun activities, discussions, games, and hands-on learning experiences, students were introduced to the concept of ordinal numbers from 1st to 10th while also exploring positional language in meaningful daily situations.


Throughout the session, students learned to:
🔹 Identify and name ordinal numbers correctly from 1st to 10th
🔹 Recognise positions such as first, second, third, and last
🔹 Arrange objects and pictures according to sequences
🔹 Match ordinal numbers with the correct positions in a line or group
🔹 Use positional words such as in front, behind, beside, between, above, and below correctly
🔹 Follow simple instructions involving positions and sequences
🔹 Describe the positions of objects and classmates using mathematical language


The activities encouraged active participation, communication, observation, and problem-solving skills while making learning enjoyable and meaningful for students.
