🖤 TAKZIAH: PEMERGIAN SEORANG PERINTIS DAN PEMIMPIN HARAPAN

Seluruh warga Institut Penyelidikan Pelestarian Alam Sekitar (RISE) dengan rasa penuh hiba dan sedih ingin merakamkan ucapan takziah atas kepulangan ke rahmatullah, Allahyarham Prof. Dr. Zulkifli bin Yusop pada 25 Februari 2026.

Bagi kami di RISE, kehilangan ini sangat dirasai. Almarhum bukan sekadar seorang mantan pemimpin di peringkat universiti, tetapi merupakan nadi dan perintis kepada penubuhan institut ini:

Felo Penyelidik IPASA: Beliau merupakan pakar dan penggerak di Pusat Pelestarian Alam Sekitar dan Sekuriti Air (IPASA), salah satu pusat penyelidikan di bawah naungan RISE.

Arkitek Penubuhan RISE: Sejarah tidak akan melupakan jasa beliau pada tahun 2014, di mana Almarhum merupakan antara penggerak utama yang mengusahakan proses penggabungan pusat-pusat kecemerlangan sehingga terbentuknya RISE yang kita kenali hari ini.

Jasa, visi, dan bakti beliau dalam bidang kelestarian alam sekitar dan pengurusan air akan terus menjadi legasi yang mekar buat generasi penyelidik akan datang.

"Ya Allah, ampunilah dosanya, limpahilah rahmat-Mu ke atasnya, muliakanlah kedatangannya, dan tempatkanlah beliau dalam kalangan hamba-Mu yang beriman dan beramal soleh."

Salam takziah buat seluruh ahli keluarga Almarhum. Semoga tabah menghadapi ujian ini.

AKTIVITI PEMASANGAN MACROCOMPOSITE DI SUNGAI BULUH, PASIR GUDANG - MHB RIVER REHABILITATION PROGRAMME 2025

Aktiviti ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keberkesanan rawatan sungai melalui penggunaan teknologi Macrocomposite yang berfungsi sebagai agen penyerapan bahan pencemar di dalam air, seterusnya meningkatkan kualiti air serta menyokong usaha pemuliharaan alam sekitar.

🌏✨ CRCE Research Visit to Japan ✨🌏

From 17 – 22 August 2025, two fellows from the Centre for River and Coastal Engineering (CRCE), Dr. Erwan Hafizi Kasiman and Dr. Mohd Hasif bin Osman, joined a research visit to the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED) and the International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management (ICHARM) in Japan.

This visit, organized by the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), aims to strengthen networking, foster future collaboration opportunities, and explore possible research attachments with these renowned institutes.

🤝 We look forward to building meaningful partnerships that contribute to advancing knowledge in disaster resilience and water hazard management!

ASEAN SUSTAINABLE URBAN FORUM (ASUF)
ASUF is a regional platform that promote connectivity, knowledge exchange and collaboration among ASEAN Member States, ASEAN cities and ASEAN communities to advance sustainable urban development. Through this platform, multistakeholder ecosystem is established including government agencies, city officials, private sector entities, NGOs, and international organizations. The three-day forum facilitates the sharing of best practices and policy development. Key activities include High-Level Policy Roundtables, Thematic Dialogues, and Training Sessions, all aligned with ASEAN’s strategic frameworks such as the ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan 2045, the ASEAN Sustainable Urbanisation Strategy (ASUS), and the ASEAN Smart Cities Network (ASCN). As the region looks ahead to the upcoming launch of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, ASUF plays a vital role in supporting the shared goal of creating sustainable, inclusive, and resilient cities that align with ASEAN’s long-term vision for regional prosperity and unity.
