Her thesis titled Emotional Intelligence as a Mediator Between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Citizenship Behaviour for Environment among Healthcare Employees in China “" was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Siti Rahmah Awang.

Her examiners were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roziana Shaari (FSSH) and Prof. Dr. Abd Halim Busari (UNIMAS). The viva session was chaired by Prof. Ir. Dr. Ab Saman Abd Kader and assisted by Dr. Norzaidahwati Zaidin .

His examiners were Prof. Tpr. Dr. Hairul Nizam Ismail (FABU) and Prof. Dr. Azizah Omar (USM). The viva session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Norhayati Zakuan and assisted by Dr. Noraindah Abdullah Fahim.

His thesis titled “Healthcare Service Quality, Value Delivery, Satisfaction, and Switching Costs Influencing Patient Loyalty in Libyan Private Hospitals " was supervised by Dr. Norzaidahwati Zaidin and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohamad Ismail bin Ali (KPJ Johor).

His examiners were Prof. Dr. Ahmad Jusoh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Normila binti Mohamad (UiTM). The viva session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Zaidatun bt. Tasir and assisted by Dr. Muhammad Harith Zainal Abidin

𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐨𝐫-𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐤𝐲𝐨

A total of 13 students from the Faculty of Management UTM, together with 13 alumni from Institut Dato’ Onn Johor, participated in the Johor-Asia Youth Leadership Exchange programme held in Tokyo, Japan from 12 to 19 May 2026.

The programme was designed to deepen students’ understanding of product quality, innovation and effective management practices through international exposure and experiential learning. In addition, the initiative aimed to promote academic collaboration, cultural exchange and shared learning among universities with a focus on management practices and sustainability.

The exchange programme also reflects UTM’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its global presence as a leader in sustainability, community-based programmes, social responsibility and ethical values. Through cross-cultural engagement, students were able to broaden their global perspectives while strengthening mutual understanding and international networks.

During the visit, participants gained valuable insights into higher education opportunities in Japan through a sharing session delivered by Education Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Tokyo.

Students also had the opportunity to engage with students from Tokyo City University (TCU) in discussions related to cross-cultural learning experiences, urban development and management-related knowledge exchange. The interaction provided meaningful exposure to international academic environments and contemporary global issues.

In addition, participants attended a seminar at The University of Tokyo (UoT) entitled “Interdisciplinary Strategy, Innovation & Research: Academic Practices, International Perspectives.” The session featured distinguished speakers from The University of Tokyo, Meiji University, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, as well as industry-academic leadership circles, who shared valuable perspectives on interdisciplinary research, innovation, academic collaboration and international engagement.

The Faculty of Management would like to express its sincere appreciation to Institut Dato’ Onn for sponsoring the students and to all parties involved for their continuous support in ensuring the success of this international academic exchange initiative.

Faculty of Management UTM successfully conducted the Global Outreach Programme (GOP) 2026 at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab, India from 1–7 May 2026 involving 18 students accompanied by Prof. Ts. Dr. Norhayati Zakuan, Dr. Yogeeswari Subramaniam and Dr. Hanini Ilyana Che Hashim

Throughout the programme, students were directly exposed to international academic environments through visiting lecturer sessions, research and publication workshops, innovation and entrepreneurship sharing sessions, cultural exchange activities, and discussions on sustainable and frugal innovation practices such as Jugaad.

The programme also provided valuable opportunities for students to strengthen communication skills, leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and global networking abilities while interacting with international academicians and students from diverse backgrounds.

In line with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the programme emphasized global knowledge sharing, international collaboration, and experiential learning beyond the classroom. Exposure to innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable problem-solving approaches also reflected the aspirations of SDG 8 and SDG 9.

Importantly, this programme strongly supports the UTM ASCEND 2030 agenda, particularly in producing globally competent graduates, strengthening international visibility and collaboration, empowering holistic student development, and enhancing impactful academic engagement at the global level.

We would like to express our deepest appreciation to the management of Lovely Professional University (LPU) for the extremely warm welcome, outstanding hospitality and meaningful collaboration throughout the programme. Special thanks to the International Relations Team LPU, particularly Mr. Rahul Chhabra and team, for the excellent coordination, continuous support, and kindness extended to our delegation throughout our stay in Punjab, India.

This programme was conducted under the collaboration with Strategi Society and would not have been possible without the strong support and contributions from many parties.
