On 13 August 2026, a delegation from the Faculty of Management UTM , Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) had the privilege of participating in a research discussion and academic visit to the ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ช๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ต๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐ท๐น๐ป๐น๐ต), ๐ฐ๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐, including a visit to the ๐น๐บ๐ฎ-๐ฎ๐จ๐บ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฒ๐บ๐ป ๐ฉ.๐ฑ. ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐บ๐๐๐๐ ๐ป๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ฉ๐๐๐๐๐.
The visit provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, research discussions and the exploration of potential areas for future collaboration between UTM and PRTRN. It also offered our delegation greater exposure to the nuclear research environment and the operation of a major research reactor facility.
More importantly, this engagement highlighted the importance of ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐๐จ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, bringing together perspectives from management and nuclear reactor technology to address increasingly complex challenges surrounding the development and sustainability of the nuclear energy sector.
Such collaboration creates opportunities to extend research beyond the technical aspects of nuclear technology by incorporating broader perspectives related to ๐ข๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ข๐๐ฃ๐ฉ, ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐จ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ฎ, ๐จ๐ช๐จ๐ฉ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ฎ, ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐๐ฃ๐๐, ๐ฅ๐ค๐ก๐๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐จ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐ฉ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ-๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฃ๐. This multidisciplinary approach can contribute towards more comprehensive and impactful research outcomes.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Zuraidah Sulaiman from the Department of Marketing and Entrepreneurship, Faculty of Management UTM contributed her expertise in packaging and labelling to the Putra Damai Precinct 11 Garden Community / Kebun Komuniti Pangsapuri Putra Damai Presint 11 Putrajaya ๐ฟ
Since its establishment in 2025, the community garden has successfully cultivated more than 30 types of fresh produce to date, with the dedicated guidance from UTM team. This is an impressive achievement with great potential for further product development and commercialisation!
Dr Zuraidah, who is also the Head of the Sustainability Management Research Group, UTM, emphasised: โ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ด๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ ๐ป๐ผ๐ ๐ท๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฎ ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ.โ Good packaging must protect the product, suit how it will be transported, sold and used, and meet labelling requirements, while maintaining cost effective.
She also highlighted that sustainable packaging is a system choice. It should use the right amount of material, be reusable where practical and hygienic, incorporate locally recyclable materials, and most importantly prevent product and food loss. The best packaging protects the product, people and the planet. ๐

Strengthening International Academic and Industry Collaboration between UTM and Universitas Airlangga
On 5 August 2026, the Faculty of Management, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), welcomed a delegation from Universitas Airlangga, Indonesia, for the International Academic and Industry Engagement Programme.
Professor Dr Ahmad bin Jusoh, Dean of the Faculty of Management, delivered the welcoming remarks and warmly engaged with the delegates.
An introduction to the Faculty of Management, including its academic programmes, areas of expertise and international engagement activities, was delivered by Professor Dr Norhayati Zakuan, External and Global Relations Manager.
The programme also featured an industry-sharing session entitled โProcurement Industry Trends in Malaysia: Developments, Practices and Current Challengesโ by Mr Hafizi Zikry bin Hasim from Iskandar Investment Berhad, followed by an industry visit to BMW Senai.
This programme is expected to further strengthen the relationship between the two universities and create more opportunities for academic collaboration, research, publications, global mobility and industry engagement.
