🇲🇾 The Twin Towers Through Their Eyes 🏙️✨

Today, our students created their very own version of Malaysia’s iconic Petronas Twin Towers — using their hands, creativity, and lots of imagination.

There is no “perfect” tower here.
Each piece was placed according to how they see, understand and imagine the Twin Towers. 💭

Through building, they explored shapes, balance, structure and spatial awareness, while also practising fine motor skills and problem-solving along the way.

And at the end, they proudly showed us their creations. 🥰

Sometimes, the most interesting view of a familiar landmark is simply seeing it through a child’s eyes. 🇲🇾❤️

🌱 Learning Science: Exploring Plants 🔍🍃

Our Academic Class students explored the topic of Plants through observation and hands-on learning.

We collected different types of leaves, flowers and small plants for the students to observe. Using magnifying glasses, they took a closer look at the shapes, colours, textures, veins and other tiny details that we might normally overlook. 🔎

Through the activity, students learned to identify and compare different parts of a plant while practising their observation, attention and communication skills.

Science doesn’t always have to start from a textbook. Sometimes, it starts with a leaf in our hands and the curiosity to look a little closer. 🌿

Observe • Explore • Discover • Learn 🌱

🇲🇾 A Taste of Malaysia — Making Ondeh-Ondeh! 💚🥥

Today, our SPED students got hands-on with one of Malaysia’s traditional favourites — Ondeh-Ondeh!

From preparing the dough, shaping it into little balls, cooking them, to coating them with fresh grated coconut — every step became a meaningful learning experience. ✋🥣

Cooking is more than just making food.
It helps our students practise following instructions, fine motor skills, patience, independence, and daily living skills — all while discovering a little more about our Malaysian culture. 🇲🇾

And of course… the best part is getting to taste what they made themselves! 😋💚

Learning through doing, growing through experience.

🛒 Tick, Pick & Get Ready to Shop!

Our SPED students are getting ready for their upcoming Supermarket Shopping experience! ✨

Before stepping into the real supermarket, we practised through a simulated shopping activity — learning how to read the shopping list, tick the items, find the correct products, and pick them independently. ✅🛍️

It may look like a simple shopping task, but behind every “tick & pick”, our students are practising focus, decision-making, independence and real-life skills.

From classroom practice ➡️ to real-world experience.
We learn it. We practise it. Then, we do it for real! 💛

🐱 From Day 1 to Day 7… Can you spot the difference?

Our Academic Class students explored a 7-day scenario of a cat with no food and no water. 🐾

Through this activity, students learned about:
✨ Changes over time
✨ Basic needs of living things
✨ Caring and responsibility
✨ Understanding different roles in the community

We also introduced the role of a Vet 👩‍⚕️🐾

💭 Would you like to become a vet?
If you were the vet, how would you help this cat?

Learning isn’t always about finding the right answer — sometimes, it’s about learning to care, think, and take action. 💛

Learning through listening! 🎶

We explored HEARING through music, rhythm and play.

🥁 Play instruments and follow the beat
🐶 Guess the animal sound
👂 Listen, respond and take turns

Because sometimes, a simple game can create opportunities to listen, connect and interact with others. 🤍

At Joyous SPED, we believe learning can happen through play, connection and meaningful experiences.

💚Quote of the day:“Sometimes, listening is the first step to connecting.” 🎶

👀 5 Senses: SIGHT

Learning through our eyes! 👀🌱

We explored the world around us through SIGHT.

🐾 Guess the animal
🌱 Find living things
🪑 Identify non-living things

Through simple games and real-life exploration, our students practised observation, attention and understanding.

At Joyous SPED, we believe learning is not only about knowing the answer —
it’s about discovering how children learn best. 🤍

✋ Learning Through Touch

Touch is more than just feeling.

It’s how children explore, understand, and make sense of the world around them.

For our Five Senses lesson, we prepared a variety of sensory trays filled with different textures—from soft and smooth to rough, wet, crunchy, and squishy.

Each team worked together to complete challenges while experiencing every unique texture with their hands and feet.

✋ Sensory Processing
Exploring and responding to a variety of textures through hands-on experiences.

🧠 Body Awareness
Understanding how different sensations feel and learning to process sensory input.

🤝 Teamwork & Social Skills
Working together, taking turns, and encouraging one another during each challenge.

💪 Gross & Fine Motor Skills
Using hands and feet to explore, balance, grasp, and move through different sensory stations.

🌱 Confidence & Exploration
Stepping out of their comfort zones and embracing new sensory experiences.

✨Quote of the day:

“Children learn best when they don’t just see the world, they experience it.”

At Joyous SPED, we believe meaningful learning happens when children are encouraged to explore, discover, and learn through real-life experiences—one sense at a time. 💚
