This Chinese New Year, our Leo Club chose to celebrate differently — by spreading love where it truly matters. 🐴 ✨

We spent our day at an old folks’ home, celebrating with elderly residents, some of whom are living with Alzheimer’s, blindness, stroke (half-body paralysis), and anxiety. Despite their challenges, their smiles and laughter reminded us that joy has no limits.

We played simple games together, shared a meaningful lou sang, sang festive songs, decorated the place with CNY decorations, and handed out mandarins as a symbol of prosperity and blessings. 🍊🧧

It wasn’t about receiving angpaos or going on festive outings — it was about giving our time, patience, and love. Seeing their faces light up was the greatest blessing of all.

This project reminded us that Chinese New Year is not just about celebration, but about reunion, compassion, and making sure no one feels forgotten. ❤️

Happy Chinese New Year from Leo Club of MGS 🦁✨

Leo Club of MGS proudly presents Project Lend A Paw 3.0 🐾

On 14/2/26, members of Leo Club of MGS spent our Valentine’s Day at Happy Tails Shelter — and honestly, we wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else. While many were out receiving flowers, going on cute hangouts, and celebrating in the usual way, we chose to celebrate love a little differently this year.

Today wasn’t about roses or gifts. It was about muddy paws, wagging tails, and unconditional love. We fed them, washed them, cleaned up their spaces, and most importantly, spent quality time playing and bonding with them. Seeing their excitement over the smallest gestures reminded us that love doesn’t need to be expensive or grand — it just needs to be genuine.

Every dog we met has a story. Some were abandoned, some were rescued, but all of them are still waiting for a forever home. That’s why we truly believe it’s better to adopt than to buy. When you adopt, you’re not just getting a pet — you’re saving a life and giving them a second chance at happiness. Supporting adoption helps reduce the number of animals in shelters and discourages irresponsible breeding.

This Valentine’s Day, we learned that the purest kind of love comes with four legs and a heartbeat. It’s the kind of love that doesn’t judge, doesn’t ask for much, and stays loyal no matter what. And to us, that’s far more meaningful than flowers could ever be.

Lend A Paw 3.0 was more than just a volunteering project — it was a reminder that compassion, responsibility, and kindness matter.

Adopt, don’t shop. Give them the love they truly deserve. 🐶🤍

We were also grateful for the insightful speech by the medical officer 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️, who shared valuable knowledge about cancer, its impact, and the importance of awareness. It was truly eye-opening and inspiring. 🌟

💙✨ NKF Visit ✨💙
The Leo Club of Methodist Girls’ School, Ipoh had the privilege of visiting the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) to better understand kidney health and the journey of patients undergoing dialysis. 🏥💧

During our visit, we observed the dialysis process firsthand and shared meaningful moments with the patients. We also prepared and distributed goody bags 🎁💙 to bring them comfort and encouragement. The patients kindly shared their own advice with us, reminding us not to consume too much sugary or savory food 🍭🍟—a valuable lesson we will carry with us.

It was truly an eye-opening and meaningful experience, one that reminded us of the importance of health, gratitude, and compassion. 💙 Together, let us continue to spread awareness and kindness. ✨

💡 Fun Fact: Did you know that our kidneys filter about 50 gallons of blood every single day? 🩸 That’s how hardworking they are. So let’s remember to take good care of them! 💙
