After a pause, Sketchbook Club returns this May 2026 — a space to reconnect with making, exploring, and creating without pressure.

Sketchbook Club is a relaxed, open creative practice where you build your own visual diary and creative record. It’s not about perfection or having a fixed style — it’s about showing up, experimenting, and letting ideas unfold naturally. 🖊️🌿

And it’s important to say: it doesn’t have to be just drawing.
It can be ANY creative project you want to explore with us. 🎭✂️🧵🖍️

Each session offers prompts, gentle guidance, and open studio time so you can follow your own creative direction.

You might:
✏️ draw or paint
📓 collage or assemble ideas
🎭 develop characters or stories
🧵 explore mixed media or craft
💡 experiment with anything that feels creative to you

This is your space to play, test ideas, and build a habit of making — in whatever form that takes.

A decade of art classes — and what a journey it has been.
From hesitant first strokes to bold expressions, from quiet observation to fearless creation, we’ve witnessed something truly special: people discovering themselves through art.

These 10 years have never just been about technique. They’ve been about curiosity, connection, and the courage to see the world differently. Class after class, sketchbook after sketchbook, we’ve shared laughter, breakthroughs, frustrations, and moments of pure magic.

Art has a way of slowing us down, helping us notice, and reminding us that beauty exists everywhere — even in the smallest, most overlooked details.

To every student who has walked through the door, picked up a brush, and trusted the process — thank you. You are the reason this space continues to grow, evolve, and thrive.

✨ Symbolism of Our Logo,✨

At the heart of our logo is the horse—powerful, untamed, and instinctive. In this form, even the act of the horse biting its own leg becomes symbolic, not of restraint, but of awareness.

It speaks to the tension we all carry: between discipline and desire, control and release, expectation and truth. And yet, in that very moment of tension, there is freedom.

Freedom to question.
Freedom to resist definition.
Freedom to be fully, unapologetically you.

Like the horse, we are not meant to be neatly contained. We are meant to move, to feel, to express—even when it is complex, even when it is raw.

This logo is a reminder: your expression does not need permission.

✨Art At The Market Workshop✨🛍️

We took our sketchbooks out of the studio and into the vibrant rhythms of the Kinta Wet Market (Pasar Besar Kinta) ✏️✨

Surrounded by the colours, textures, and everyday bustle, we embraced a change of scene — slowing down to observe, draw, and discover beauty in the ordinary and often overlooked 🍃🧺

From fleeting gestures to quiet corners, each sketch became a way of seeing differently… finding poetry in the everyday.

✨ Art Residency December 2025 ✨

This past December, we had the pleasure of hosting abstract painter Dashini in residence 💫

Drawing inspiration from her grandparents and their home filled with blooming orchids 🌸, her works unfolded through layers of gold and rich textures — evoking nostalgia, the passage of time, and the tenderness of moments shared with loved ones 🕰️💛

Each piece shimmered like a memory held close… intimate, reflective, and deeply personal.

Thank you, Dashini, for bringing such warmth and poetic reflection into our space ✨

Sketchbook Club VI ✏️📓
December 2025

Our final gathering of the year felt like a quiet celebration of process, presence, and play. Pages filled with experiments, half-formed ideas, bold marks, and gentle observations — a reminder that the sketchbook is where freedom lives.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared space, and trusted the act of making. No pressure, no perfection — just drawing, together.
