There is a specific kind of stillness you only find in the Borneo countryside—where the only sounds are the wind through the grass and the distant hum of the mountains. I wanted to capture that peace in this piece. I spent most of my time working on the contrast between the sharp, rustic details of the wooden huts and the soft, hazy layers of the peaks behind them. It feels like a place where time slows down just a little bit.
