Our Philosophy
At Tinker Art Playroom, we invite children to play and have fun learning together while creating their artwork in a gratifying work space. We perceive art education as a process of learning rather than a product that has to be achieved. Our Playroom
We are a Reggio-inspired playroom that is located in the Heritage City of Georgetown, Penang. We believe that children learn best when they have a space that is functional yet appropriate for their age. The nature inspired, open-ended playroom allows the children to explore and get inspired to create their own art pieces. It is in our view that the playroom is seen as a third educator. Our Method
We value that every child is different, so we are inspired to recreate the sense of pride, passion, cooperation, responsibilities and critical thinking skills through our programme. We design our programme based on Play. Classes are remain small as we know the importance of individual interaction that the child is seeking. In our playroom, we respect and care for the nature and community, parents are welcome to be active participants in various ways to encourage the children.

Children were given the material (Foil) to explore.
They tried different ways and methods and finally made their own Sculpture/art pieces.

It is a struggle at first but at the end they made it. Moulding Foil is a new thing for them and with some experimentation they manage.

Tinkerartplayroom was invited to teach the local high-school students to do a Creative Art workshop. It was a pleasure to meet the students and guide them through the process of creating a lantern in conjunction with the coming festive Chinese New Year 2024.
Almost 260 students attended the workshop and they are just awesome. Their creation amaze all teachers and even themselves.

Glad all students were happy and they did a great job in creating their own version of lantern.
