Since its introduction in 2022, this program has provided medical coverage for over 150 Saṅgha members from various Buddhist traditions, ensuring that they can pursue their spiritual path without worries about healthcare.

📍Yr 2022: 63 nuns & 95 monks
📍Yr 2023: 59 nuns & 87 monks

In light of this, the Yayasan Belia Buddhist Malaysia (YBBM) urges the public to generously support this initiative, continuously addressing the comprehensive medical needs of the Saṅgha.

此计划自2022年推介以来，已为超过150位来自各佛教源流的僧伽，提供医疗保障，以让僧伽没有后顾之忧，安心辦道。

📍2022年：63位女众及95位男众
📍2023年：59位女众及87位男众

为此，马来西亚佛教发展基金会呼吁大众发心护持此计划，持续全面护持僧众的医药需求。

This insurance plan is fully funded by the Malaysian Sangha Fund. It provides medical protection for Sangha members aged 16 to 65 who are Malaysian or hold a valid residence permit. It allows Sangha to focus on the Dharma activities without worries.

---------- THE SUTRA OF FORTY-TWO CHAPTERS, Chapter 11----------
The Buddha said:
“It is better to offer food to a single virtuous person than to one hundred evil people.”
“It is better to offer food to one who observes the Five Precepts than to one thousand virtuous people.”
“It is better to offer food to one stream-enterer than to ten thousand who observe the Five Precepts.”
“It is better to offer food to one once-returner than to one million stream-enterers.”
“It is better to offer food to one non-returner than to ten million once-returners.”
“It is better to offer food to one arhat than to one hundred million non-returners.”
“It is better to offer food to one pratyekabuddha50 than to one billion arhats.”
“It is better to offer food to one of the buddhas of the three periods of time51 than to ten billion pratyekabuddhas.”
“It is better to offer food to one of ‘no thought’, ‘no abidance’, ‘no cultivation’, and ‘no attainment’ than to a hundred billion buddhas of the three periods of time.”

饭凡人百，不如饭一善人；饭善人千，不如饭一持五戒者；饭五戒者万人，不如饭一须陀洹；饭百万须陀洹，不如饭一斯陀含；饭千万斯陀含，不如饭一阿那含；饭一亿阿那含，不如饭一阿罗汉；饭十亿阿罗汉，不如饭一辟支佛；饭百亿辟支佛，不如饭一三世诸佛。饭千亿三世诸佛，不如饭一无念无住无修无证之者。

所以我们供养，应该要知道供养的理，知道供养哪一类人有什么好处，因此我们要亲近善知识。你若亲近恶知识，就学得邪知邪见；你若亲近善知识，就会学得正知正见。你若供养恶人，就造罪了；你供养善人，就有功德了，所以这是我们要知道的。

Maha Sanghikadana is an act of providing alms-food to a group of ordained people who have renounced the world (called the Sangha) to strive for Peace and Enlightenment through the Buddha's teachings. The Maha Sanghikadana is considered to be a very meritorious action and therefore, according to the Scriptures, will accrue good results such as long life, beauty, happiness, strength and wisdom.
You are most welcome and encouraged to come forward to join in this very special merit-making occasion.

为了更全面护持僧众的医药需求，马来西亚佛教发展基金会推出了‘僧伽集体医药保险计划’。 此计划由马来西亚护僧基金全额护持，欢迎符合以下所有条件的僧侣提出申请：
✅佛教僧侣
✅马来西亚公民或持有有效居留准证的非马来西亚公民
✅居住于马来西亚（旅居海外连续超过90天者将不能享有此计划所提供的福利）
✅16至65岁（下一个生日年龄）
✅获得支持佛教组织的推荐

The Malaysian Sangha Fund has been established to support the medical costs and education of monastics. However, the medical coverage for the Sangha is often inadequate. Thus, a Sangha Group Medical Insurance Plan is introduced to provide better medical care for monastics.
This plan will be fully funded by the Malaysian Sangha Fund.
All Sangha members fulfilling the following requirements are welcomed to apply：
✅Sangha Member
✅Malaysian or non-Malaysian with valid Visa/Pass.
✅Resides in Malaysia (those residing outside Malaysia for a continuous period of more than 90 conservative days will not be covered by this plan)
✅16 to 65 years old (age of next birthday)
✅Endorsed by a Supporting Buddhist Organization

1. 赞助僧众医疗费用。To pay for the medical costs of monastics.
2. 提供奖助学金予就读的青年学僧。To provide scholarships or study grants to monastics.
3. 赞助举办提高僧青年素质之活动，包括邀请海外知名佛教僧众为大马僧众主持佛法及培训课程。To sponsor educational and spiritual programs , and invite renowned monastics from overseas to conduct religious programs that are beneficial to monastics.
4. 资助僧众教育所需之教材及教育器材。To provide monastics with study materials and logistics support as part of their educational needs.
5. 为在护僧基金受益下的僧众安排弘法或公开课程，推动佛教教育的发展。 To arrange monastics who had benefited from the Sangha Fund to conduct Dharma talks and workshops in the country.
