Our Architectural Technology students recently visited the Penang Night Shelter to explore how sustainable and socially responsible design is applied in real-life facilities. From adaptive reuse, passive design strategies and SDG initiatives.

From passive design strategies and smart building systems, the visit gave students a better understanding of how thoughtful architecture can reduce environmental impact while creating comfortable and functional spaces.

A valuable educational visit that brought classroom learning to life! 💚

Students from SMK Valdor explored the creative world of architecture through our Design Like an Architect workshop, led by our Head of Architectural Technology, Mr Teh.

During the workshop, students discovered how architects develop a design from finding inspiration and sketching ideas to creating models and visualising the final space. Through a hands-on activity, they were encouraged to think creatively while considering the function, structure and appearance of their designs.
We hope this experience has inspired them to see architecture from a new perspective and discover how thoughtful design can shape the way people live and experience a space. 💙
