For this Fun Friday, our Oaktree students enjoyed an exciting outing to Penang Hill! 🌿🚞

In conjunction with the Penang Hill Festival 2026, they took part in a fun Stamp Rally, exploring Penang Hill while collecting stamps at each station. 🗺️✨

The adventure began at David Brown’s Restaurant, where students collected their first stamp while enjoying the beautiful hilltop surroundings. 🌳

Next, they made their way to Gallery@Edgecliff, discovering fascinating stories and exhibits about Penang Hill’s rich history and heritage before earning another stamp. 🖼️📚

The journey continued with visits to the historic Bellevue Hotel and The Habitat Penang Hill, where students explored nature, admired the lush rainforest surroundings, and completed their Stamp Rally by collecting the final stamps. 🌺🌿

It was a wonderful day filled with teamwork, exploration, learning, and plenty of smiles. We are so proud of our students for embracing every challenge and making unforgettable memories together! 💚😊

As JJ is a relatively high functioning Young Learner, he is capable and willing to do more academic work, which can be seen, though other students may have less academic demands based on their condition 🧠✍️

Did you know that every therapy session is tailor-made to meet each student’s unique needs? 🎯

No two therapy plans are the same! Our activities are carefully selected based on skills each student is working to develop 📋

Fine motor & hand-eye coordination: Activities like placing pegs into holes and threading beads help strengthen finger control, precision, and coordination ✋✍️

Cognitive + gross motor skills: Coloured ball sorting activities encourage problem-solving, attention, and movement at the same time 🌈💪

Cognitive development: Brain training exercises help improve memory, focus, thinking, and other essential cognitive skills🧠🔍

Last but not least, Day 3 of last month’s camp at Oaktree was Performance Day!🕺🏻✨

Everybody from students, teachers and even parents were able to show their different talents, with sing-a-longs, rhythm games and even a performance with backing instruments! 🎤🎸

Soon, we will celebrate the rich history and timeless charm that makes Georgetown one of a kind 🎩🕌

From beautifully preserved heritage buildings to the melting pot of diverse cultures, every street has a special story 🗺️🇲🇾

Fire! Fire! just kidding, but today at Oaktree our teachers and students conducted a fire drill! 🔥🧯

The students first learned about fire emergencies and how to respond to them through videos and interactive games 🙅‍♂️🙆‍♀️

They then practiced fire drills before a simulated fire broke out, where all the students lined up and quickly gathered at the assembly point 🚒🧑‍🚒

Thankfully, everyone was able to get outside and survive the fire, good job everyone! 👏
