We are excited to share highlights from our FINTEGRITY Board Game workshop with Pepper Labs on 4 October 2025. It was held as part of the 1st day, 2nd event of the nationwide Financial Literacy Month (FLM) 2025 campaign by Financial Education Network (FEN) to improve financial knowledge across Malaysia.

It was an honor to be invited to run this engaging boardgame workshop for Pepper Labs, where 28 inspiring ladies joined us to explore personal finance fundamentals through fun, strategy, and meaningful values like integrity, stewardship, and wise decision-making. 🎲✨

A heartfelt thank you to Pepper Labs for championing financial literacy and empowering communities through experiential learning. We’re grateful to be part of this impactful journey.

🌟 Youths Financial Transformation: Towards a Prosperous Future 🌟
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent youth financial literacy workshop, with a mission of Empowering Malaysia’s Youths for Financial Success. This workshop was hosted by IYRES (Institute for Youth Research) of our Ministry of Youth and a collaborative team effort of passionate Malaysian individuals from various organizations. The team consists of Brenda Yong (Licensed Financial Advisor), Elton Lim (Wealth of Life Youth CEO), Adeline Ten (Wealth of Life Youth CNO), Erim and Alan (P10 Solutions) and Florence and Fred Choo (Founder of Equip Consulting). We were also supported by individuals who came to be facilitators and Sun Life Malaysia has conducted a board game workshop with their InsureLit board game.

This event on 11 Dec 2024 brought together 115 enthusiastic youths of majority being young working adults eager to take charge of their financial well-being. The workshop aimed to bring participants to get back to basics in managing their personal finances. The core topics covered were: Basic Financial Foundation, Managing Debt Savings, Investment and Protection.

One of the event’s highlights was the simulation activities, where participants experienced the long-term impact of adjusting spending habits and living without insurance. These hands-on exercises drove home the importance of financial discipline in a way no lecture ever could.

Another engaging activity was the creation of vision boards. Participants mapped out their financial dreams and goals, fostering a mindset of focus and determination.

One of the key highlights was a group activity to solicit youth input on the question of “If you are a Malaysian Leader tomorrow, what will you do to transform the financial future of our youths?”. The energy and creativity they poured into this task were truly inspiring!

We’re grateful for the positive feedback received and are overjoyed that the attendees could grasp and apply the key concepts shared. Watching them connect the dots between small daily decisions and their long-term financial health was incredibly rewarding.

A heartfelt thank you to IYRES of the Ministry of Youth Malaysia, our dedicated collaborators, our facilitators, and, most importantly, the participants who made this event a huge success. Together, we’re shaping a generation that understands, owns, and grows its financial potential.

Come join the Round Table Discussion (RTD) - Transformasi Kewangan Belia “Ke Arah Masa Depan Sejahtera”. A workshop organized by Kementerian Belia Dan Sukan(KBS) with collaborative partners Sun Life Malaysia and Brenda Yong.

Topics: Personal Savings Protection, Types of Debts, Personal Budget and Savings.
With exciting activities such as playing InsureLit Boardgame, experiencing real-life simulations and group activities.

The FINTEGRITY Board game is created by the Wealth of Life Children (WOLc) Academy. This game is developed from the key concepts taught in the WOLc program on Finance and Character/ Integrity. This game simulates the way an adult would earn, spend, save and/or invest money. Learn and practice good money habits in a fun way! Character-building values of “Doing What’s Right” have also been built into the game. The game's objective is to have the “Highest Net Worth” AND the most “Character/Values” points. During the workshop, the children will reflect on what they learn from the game and understand what’s in real life.

Suitable for ages 9-13 years old.

From 7 to 9 Aug 2024, Wealth of Life Children partnered with sponsors to run FINTEGRITY board game workshops for 32 refugee children in Penang. It was a profoundly rewarding experience. 😍 The workshops aimed to teach essential financial literacy skills and instill character values in a fun and engaging way.

A big THANK YOU 🫶 to the volunteers at the center who helped to make this workshop successful. The volunteers also had a chance to play the board game and they too enjoyed and learned a couple of basic personal finance.

As the children gathered around the game boards, they were very excited and curious, but at the same time also feeling uncertain. However, as the games unfolded, their confidence grew. It was inspiring to see the children learn and apply new concepts, ask questions, and make connections between the game scenarios and their own lives. The laughter heard as they played was a testament to the power of experiential learning. 🥰

We were so encouraged to see the work done by all the educators who serve in these centers, giving these precious children education opportunities. Some of them did not even know their ABCs nor had formal education before coming here, but catch up so fast under the nurturing guidance of these teachers. It was also very touching to hear that some parents had their children take Grab to the other location for lessons before the 2nd center was opened. Knowing these parents took their children's education seriously was comforting.

Wealth of Life Children is so blessed to be able to empower them in these areas and we hope to do more with future sponsorship programs. Big thank you to all the sponsors who partnered with us to make this happen for the refugee community in our nation. We look forward to the next project with an orphanage in KL in the upcoming months. 🤩

28 Jun 2024 marked another significant milestone in our journey where we have collaborated with Sun Life Malaysia to developed a fun and engaging children educational board game named InsureLit: Earn, Save, Protect.
A game designed to take children on an interactive journey through key financial concepts and ethical behavior.
