The 3rd International Conference on Applied Photonics and Electronics 2021 (InCAPE 2021 was organized by the Faculty of Electronic Engineering (FTKEN), UniMAP which is organized biannually. In 2021, due to the pandemic situation the conference was conducted virtually.

This conference will not only provides an excellent platform to share the research results and dissemination of useful information, but will also be beneficial in terms of establishing networking with the various researchers around the globe.

The topics of the conference had been classified into six main tracks which are photonics materials and devices, electronics materials and devices, analog and digital electronic systems, electronic and optical communication, medical electronics and photonics, and electronics and photonic for agriculture.
3 keynote speakers, 10 invited speakers, and around 40 technical paper speakers has been presented in five parallel oral session conducted via zoom platform. Keynote and invited speakers have vast experiences and knowledge in their topics.

A total of 40 papers were accepted for InCAPE 2021, published in International Journal of Nanoelectronics and Materials (IJNeaM), indexed by Emerging Sources Citation Index (WOS, Clarivate Analytics), SCOPUS, SJR: Q3 (2019).

The 2nd International Conference on Applied Photonics and Electronics 2019 (InCAPE 2019) has been successfully held on 22nd August 2019 at Palm Garden Resort, IOI Hotel, Putrajaya Malaysia. The conference was organized by the School of Microelectronic Engineering in collaboration with the School of Computer and Communication Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Perlis.

As the field of photonics is very broad and includes uses of lasers, optics, fiber-optics, and electrooptical devices in numerous and diverse fields of technology such as alternate energy, manufacturing, health care, telecommunications, environmental monitoring, homeland security, aerospace, solid state lighting, and many others, there is a need to have a specific conference that caters to these research areas. As such, the inception of the first conference of InCAPE in 2017, followed by this 2nd edition of InCAPE 2019, which focuses on applied photonics in particular, and a broad range of electronics disciplines as well.

A total of 68 papers were accepted for InCAPE 2019, published in AIP conference proceedings and indexed by Scopus.
