PSA - For parents interested in learning and applying Play-based parenting 🤩

Play = Learning

*Play-based Parenting Programme*

Date: Saturdays on 18, 25 July and 1 and 8 August 2026
Time:2.30 pm to 4.00 pm
Venue: 227 Jalan Pemancar, 11700 Gelugor, Penang

Discover how you can help your child learn through playing in our interactive, hands-on and fun 4-weeks’ programme!

Led by a qualified Speech and Language Consultant and her team members from BOLD & ACS, the programme aims to:
* help parents understand that play equals learning;
* encourage self-directed play; and enhance your child’s overall development: physical, social, emotional, cognitive, speech, language and communication skills.

The play activities (e.g. water and sand play, art and craft, games, songs, storytelling) will enable your child and you to find out what your child likes. You will then be better equipped to understand your child’s strengths, plan play activities accordingly, have fun and spend quality time together.

“ previous attendees can also enrol and parents need not attend the parenting class. However Ms Chia(speech therapist) and Ms Aisyah
(occupational therapist) are available for consultation should the parents need further support.

*Requirements:*
*Children:*
3-6 years-old children with special needs (limited to only 12 children based on a review of the children’s needs).

*Parents:*
·One parent will participate in the weekly playgroup sessions together with the child and the other parent can attend the play-based parenting class. However, if the child can be separated from the parents, both parents can attend the class together.

*Medium of communication:*
English (Bahasa & Chinese may be used by the participants)

*Fees:*
RM 200 per child (assistance for B40 families is available based on a case-by-case review)

Kindly contact 011-20684776 / [email protected] to register for the programme, or for further inquiries.

Highly recommended by former playgroup parents!
“Just want to share from the playgroup session that # # # learns to use the brown bear song but creates his own lyric base on what he sees. We are so thrilled to see his improvement and want to share with all the teachers.”
